I knew from the raves of others how delicious the night would be, but I was surprised at the amount of history and background that was woven into the tour. Our guide Paul clearly has a passion for this city and this region, and he is informative and entertaining in his culinary, social, and political explanations.
But make no mistake, this is primarily about the dining. The five hours flew by like one hour, and each new stop brought new revelations.
My tour group of six consisted of two pairs and two singles. As you can imagine, the food and wine dissolved the barriers between us all, and soon we were chatting among ourselves like old friends.
We’re so glad we booked this tour—we’ll always remember it.
