“Gastronomy fusion Peru-Japan in a casual place”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

This restaurant managed by the famous chefs Albert & Ferran Adria is a gastronomic Japan & Peru fusion restaurant, nikkei cuisine. The decor is original, beautiful and casual. the room is small, only few tables. The service is very good and professional. They propose 2 fixed menus (95 and 125€), no a la carte option. Oysters, ceviche, seafood, fish, a bit of chicken and a light 3 bites desserts.
Count at least 2h30 for the long menu, no pause, just a good rythme of small dishes like mini tapas plates of delicate food.

“Innovative and delicious”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

atmosphere is relaxed, waiters are kind and very precise in telling what you are eating. That is quite important when you get served around 30 little dishes. very appealing look, very good taste. A lot of new spices from Peru combined with Japanese tastes and textures. Very innovative.

“Enjoyable but expensive!”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

I thought pakta was beautifully decorated. Service was phenomenal. Food was good. I wouldnt say it was the most amazing food ive had. I just could not justify the amount we paid for each of the set meals. If it was a little less then i would feel it was worthwhile. Make reservations ahead of time as it does fill up. Overall it was enjoyable

“Sorry, expectations not met”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

I guess we simply expected too much, given the famous names involved, the rave reviews and all the marketing hype going on. We did like the more than excellent service: the best we've seen in a long time. We also liked the informal, trendy design of the interior and the lively atmosphere. We liked the food only occasionally, unfortunately. It's probably a matter of taste. Many dishes prominently feature koriander, which we hate with all of our hearts. Also, there's nothing wrong with raw fish, but maybe not have it over and over again. The appetizers were very promising, we'll admit. And the foie on rice - just a petite bite - was great. But many of the flavors just turned out unbalanced and crude, at least to our taste buds. Don't, just don't expect the typical Spanish top cuisine experience here. If you know what you're heading for though, you might really enjoy this restaurant.

“Lots of fun”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

A treat to discover.

Went for the full 'Macchu Picchu" menu- would advise everyone to do as such.

The service was crisp and focused with all the 'accompanying advice, explanation & support' necessary to allow even new customers to discover and sample each dish.

Fun crew behind the sushi counter and in the kitchen- led by an outstanding and typically soft spoken Kyoko Li from Japan. The other co-Chef Jorge Muñoz also impressed me with this technique. You can feel that this restaurant has a real team working there - a brigade as we say in French- bummer we couldn't see Albert Adria in action...but his team at Pakta is a championship group of performers.

As the shift wears on, several members come out of the kitchen to lend support at the sushi bar....was cool to witness them in action and also drop in back in the kitchen afterwards and thank them.

As for the food, I will just say that this is an outstanding restaurant and this meal was by far our most fun and delicious meal during our stay.

Looking forward to returning - and discovering 41degrees as well as Tickets.

Only note that disappointing, while the price of the menu and the wines were totally fair (I'd even say good value), the Nihonshu (sake) prices were exorbitant...seriously....I respectfully suggest revisiting the pricing structure on this part of the offering.
