What a hands on experience - we made 5 dishes, our favorites were the Romesco sauce with the local vegetables ( onions and zucchini roasted) spicy octopus, delicious shrimps and monk fish over thinly sliced fried potatoes finished with poached pears. We stared with Cava on the balcony over looking the magnificent city accompanied with local tapas- or snacks. Time for conversation and pictures before we started the food preparation and we WERE hands on. Best Romesco sauce I have even had, great on both vegetables. We are octopus lovers so this dish was a special treat. Great wine with dinner, then his wife joined us later for a glass of wine when she returned home. Yves does dinners for 2- 16- all hands on or what you request. We were there on a Sunday so could not do the shopping with Yves- so he preselected for us and made fabulous selections. Yves has a wonderful kitchen for cooking and all to spices at hand. The views from the home are spectacular, not to be missed on the roof top which provides another outdoor cooking experience.
Barcelona is one of our very favorite cites: the people are so wonderful as is the food, wine architecture and shopping.
