“Fantastic!”
Reviewed 24 June 2014 via mobile

We arrived on spec and were lucky enough to get a room for three nights. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. The room was beautiful, the bed the comfiest we've ever stayed in, the toiletries lovely and the location was perfect. The spa is a must after a long day sightseeing and the rooftop bar at night is fabulous. The food was the best we had all holiday. Top marks all round!

Rooftop bar was nice for lying down tapas and/or night cap.
We stayed in a Superior room with a balcony overlooking La Rambla. Sound isolation was only partially effective, so the street noise woke us up a few times each night. Nice bathroom. Bed was wide but hard.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from La Rambla if noise is of concern

I've stayed in many European hotels and this was one of my all-time favorites. Location is perfect, right at the heart of Las Ramblas next door to the church, in the heart of Old Barcelona. Staff were attentive and consistently provided impeccable service. Visit the bar/lobby area during tea time (free to guests) and get to know them. The building is beautiful and so are the rooms. The crowning jewel is the rooftop garden restaurant with great views of Barcelona day and night. Go up there some morning for a 4-course breakfast you'll never forget.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the church and back alley are quiet but still get enough sun.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel! 5 Stars!!!!! Good location because it's near the end of La Rambla so easy to get away from the crowds if you want to. Lovely rooftop bar and the whole hotel smells wonderful. Ask for a room at the back away from La Rambla where it is more quiet. The front desk people are so nice and so helpful!!

The rooms are small but nicely designed. Luxurious materials, good workmanship, modern, comfortable. The common areas were poorly designed. The lobby and sitting areas were comfortable but not inviting...very few people ever spent time there. The bar service was limited and did not have a TV....during World Cup season!!! The spa was small and had an open area as a unisex locker room...who does that? Service level came no where near the high price point. The owners/managers need to rethink how this hotel serves customers. The building has so much potential because of location and construction but how it is managed, planned and designed in terms of pleasing customers vacationing in Barcelona is a dud.

I have just returned from the most fantastic trip to Barcelona and can not praise this outstanding hotel enough.Working in the Travel industry I am lucky enough to stay in some of the best hotels in the world and I will certainly be recommending this fantastic hotel to all my customers.
The location is second to none and from the minute you walk through the door all boxes are ticked twice.Outstanding in every aspect of our stay.Cant wait for my next visit.

Room Tip: Superior room with a balcony that looks over La Ramblas.Perfect!

Sadly, we only spent one night here as a stopover on our way back to the states...The hotel is very beautiful and has wonderful amenities like a pillow selection menu, heated towel bars etc.. Due to the location on Las Ramblas, like any big city, it's very noisy at night. I would highly recommend staying on a high floor or away from Las Ramblas to achieve a better sleep. The rooftop bar was wonderful for tapas. Highly recommend the Pink Mojito's - delicious! Would definitely stay here again to be close to all the action. The hotel was immaculate and the staff was very accommodating.
