Owner description: 1883-85 construction was Gaudí's first major architectural commission; first example of the bright ceramic tile exterior decoration now ubiquitous in Barcelona.

One of Gaudi's lesser known, but I feel underrated masterpieces. Brilliant Morrocan / Islamic style. Unfortunately could not get a glimpse inside, as it is a private residence. The ppl who live here have no idea how lucky they are!

Another Gaudi's work. Really beautiful, however you only can see outside once it is inhabited.

It was built by the famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, his very first important design right after he achieved his degree. It stands like a fortress in an old Gràcia district and it is a must see. It's the only work from Gaudí with the reminiscences Muslim and Arab (if I am not mistaken) in a unique fusion with indigenous elements. This house was built with an abundant use of tiles offers color and originality, I reckon the inside must be as spectacular as the outside. It's a private residence, people you know who you are and just so that you know that you are very lucky to be living in such an historic home and protected by the UNESCO:-D

The Casa Vicens is an early Gaudi masterwork, inspired by Moorish architecture and fully decorated with tiles. Although the building doesn't have curves, Gaudi masterfully manages to create a playful facade. Can't be visited inside. But well worth a stop on your way to Park Guell. 2 min walk from metro stop Fontana or Lesseps.

We found the house on a narrow street near the Passeig de Gracia and othe Gaudi masterpieces.

It has a Moorish flavor to it.

A must see for those interested in all things Gaudi.
