Right in the middle of it all...walk steps to eat, enjoy sight seeing blocks in any direction and experience Barcelona like a local with the variety of bars and markets. This hotel has a warm hearted staff that made your visit their priority. Rooms were clean and well laid out (we stayed on 4th floor suite) Free breakfast and all day snacks plus water were very useful...
Dining recommendations were spot on... We tried Bar Lobo which was typical Tapas and also had a fire juggling show at night, then an amazing upscale Argentinian steak place which served high quality beef.
The sites and architecture in Barcelona are amazing, the many different styles from different periods.. the cemetery ruins, the cathedrals... all the history and all so close to the hotel, that you can take a break when need be. My son is 10 and he too was fascinated in awe by the beauty of these structures but liked the fact we could stop at the hotel for a rest and snacks.
The water front area, by the W Hotel is another nice area .. if you follow Las Ramblas to the end, by the Columbus tower (which you can ride to the top of) you can see the W Hotel in the distance. Though a cab ride suited me for this trek, it is definitely walkable. There are many bars and restaurants on the lower boardwalk of this hotel, if you prefer a spot overlooking the beach reserve in advance... At the beach you can also rent a bike or electric bike. Beside the beach though, there is not much to see..
All things considered though, there are better beaches in the world and what is most amazing here in Barcelona is the architecture and history... that being said the location of Casa Camper was perfect! .. steps to the museum .. a block from main drag of Las Ramblas.... three blocks to cathedral and a great farmers market with fresh fruit, meats seafood and treats right around the corner!! This may not be a Ritz Carlton style hotel which I enjoy greatly, but the location, staff and experiences makes it 5 star to me..

The staff are unbelievably helpful at this hotel! From printing our boarding passes, helping us make the most of our time in Barcelona, booking restaurants, providing great mass transit directions, and tourist recommendations, the staff far exceeded what we've observed almost all other hotels we've stayed in offer and they did it with pleasure and a genuine desire to give the best to their guests. Breakfast was ample as are the snacks you can have for free as part of your stay there throughout the day. There is a double entry to keep things secure and the rooms are very quiet facing an inner courtyard with an extra room that has a separate TV and hammock for additional privacy. A free bottle of water was offered in the room every day and check-in and check out were easy and quick. I cannot imagine finding a better hotel for the money and we are sure to return when we visit again. Top notch service at a reasonable price!

Stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time. A lovely hotel, but some the reviews on here are a bit too gushing, but still very good for a city hotel.

What I will say is that the 4 restaurant recommendations we received from the front desk each evening were spot on... We had some superb sea food meals in interesting restaurants! Well done Casa team :)

Casa Camper is perhaps one of the most unusual places in my travels. First the location is just stellar. It is off the main road of Las Ramblas, but it is a quiet side street. You have tranquility and craziness all at the same time

Casa reminds me of a clean modern, ultra chic hostel. You have the main area near registration where people congregate due to breakfast or the 24 hour snacks provided. The rooms, however are amazing, really amazing.

You have a large bedroom with an unbelievable rainfall shower which normally would be enough. However, you also have your own private lounge complete with sofa, TV, terrace and ultra comfortable hammock

Whats missing is a workout area and pool...However Casa has location, comfort and above all character

Barcelona's selection of hotels is as varied and as rich as its culture, arts, history and scenery. What puts the Camper above all others, and I've stayed at several in Barcelona over the years, is that it's as comfortable as your favorite pair of shoes. Appropriate since it is operated by the Camper people. It's location minutes walking from MACBA and La Rambla gives you that hip Soho vibe. The bedroom/lounge set-up is perfect for chilling or extra bedroom for the kids. The 24-7 access to food and beverages in the lobby recreates the feeling of going to your fridge at home when you're hungry. Most important, the Cheers atmosphere - where everybody knows your name - or at least make you fell very welcomed.

I don´t usually write reviews but Casa Camper deserves one. They are outstanding. The hotel is beautiful, super modern and located in a perfect little alley off La Ramblas. The staff though are what make this hotel. I stayed here for 6 nights with my Mother and daughter (4) . The staff know your names and the second you walk in you are given a personal tour of the hotel. The way they treated my daughter was amazing. But the real thing was they were all genuine, lovely people. They could not have helped us enough with places to eat, places to see and then providing us with hotel options after our stay in Barcelona. I also have to mention the snack bar. You get everything from fizzy drinks to sandwiches, fruit, popcorn, biscuits, baguettes, donuts, muesli bars, tea, coffee and little deserts...which you can take ALL day and night long! The rooms are very spacious as you really get two rooms which was great for the 3 of us. Also super close to the metro stations and shoppers there are the best boutiques in the alley! This beats a 5 star hotel any day. Thank you Casa Camper for everything but most of all for your service. You were amazing!

We visited Barcelona last summer.Casa Camper Hotel Barcelona , not only number one listed at Tripadvisor.com, it was also listed in Michelin Guide to hotels.I booked three nights using Expedia.com and found my way there easily(doing enough research ahead of time is essential , walking the spider web like streets of Barcelona was greatly aided by Rick Steve's travel book on Barcelona). But when I showed up the front desk said because of some confusion from Expedia.com, there was no confirmation! However, I was lucky I could stay for those 3 nights as a walk in.( After I returned and called Expedia and got a solid apology from them and admitting it was Expedia's fault. That was the last time I would book any hotel using Expedia .)Now what other people said about the hotel are all true: friendly staffs, great restaurant next door, clean and unusual configuration of rooms. Now I have dreamed about returning to Barcelona someday, just want to return to the fabulous Casa Camper Hotel.
