Excellent location, in 10 minutes walking distance from Paral-lel metro station. Wi-Fi in rooms is free of charge. Lots of hi-quality cafes and restaurants in the area -- ask manager Steve for advice!

Good comfortable Hotel with very nice clean rooms. I was there for one Week only.
Barcelona is an Awesome city to visit.
If you are traveling to Barcelona, I highly recommend Zoo Loco. Has local charm, a great location and excellent service. The staff are fluent in both Spanish, English, Portuguese.

I spent six wonderful days in Barcelona. Everything was great: weather, city, food and the place where i stayed. Location is excellent, close to metro and buses. The neighbourhood is very quiet, and there is an amasing park just couple minutes of walking. The National Museum of Barcelona is 10 minutes away.
Rooms are large, with a nice big bed. Prices are very affordable. The roof terrace is amazing, the best place to relax on a sunny day.
The most important thing the staff is very pleasant, friendly and ready to help. I will recommend this place for anyone visiting Barcelona. You will not regret.

Steve and staff provided wonderful accommodations in a really cool modernista building (the roof top terrace!!). The location was perfect (Poble Sec) and was easy walking distance to the Magic Fountain, Plaza Espagna, plenty of (affordable and non-touristy) eateries, close to the metro, Joan Miro Museum, Montjuic Park, Royal Palace, etc etc. Huge, clean kitchen, too. Did I mention the terrace?

This is a great place to stay. I was there for a whole week in September just after it had opened. The en-suite room was perfect with a nice big double bed. It’s a cool old building which has been newly refurbished. There is a massive rooftop terrace (it couldn’t be any bigger!!) which was great for hanging out in the sun or chilling out at night. Make sure to check out the hammocks at the front from where you have great views of Barcelona and a unique view of Sagrada Familia on the other side of town. The kitchen facilities were probably the best I’ve seen in a guesthouse and were spotlessly clean every day. The staff were really helpful and professional and the whole place is very well run. Poble Sec is a great barrio with a very chilled out atmosphere. There is a beautiful plaza about 3 blocks from the guesthouse which has really nice restaurants with great lunch time deals. Less than 5 minute walk from the guesthouse and you are at Teatre Grec in Montjuic Gardens which is a must see for Barcelona. Also its only a 10/15 minute walk from Rambla de Raval so all the main sights are easily reached. All in all I definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Barcelona and I hope I’ll be back there soon!!

I stayed here with a few friends back when it opened and we had a great time!

The owner 'Steve' was a cool Irish guy who was very friendly and told us where to go and what to do. He shared a beer with us on the roof garden in the evening. Great stories about his life and times!

The rooms were very clean and comfortable with balconies in our case. There was a great atmosphere about the place. Super facilties in the kitchen for cooking. But the roof garden was the best feature and where people came together in the evenings. There was even a part of the gardens where they had grapes growing for wine!

The building is an old theatre, iconic in its design. You can see it from the distance and all the taxi drivers know it. Behind the building are the hills of Barca which is great for a walk first thing in the morning...the old Olympic sight has great views of the city and is very peaceful.

All in all, I'd recommend this as a great place to stay. Ideally located in a relaxed quarter of the city which has a great authenticity about it.
