close to sagrada familia we found that by booking to visit sagrada familia on line this helped by not standing for you tickets at 0930am to visit at 1300pm would recommend this hotel only bad thing was the crisps were out of date and if they had tea and coffee in your room as I like to have a coffee before going for breakfast

Room is small, toilet of a fair size but the grouse is that the hotel is not near any attractions or food places worth recommending.
We deliberately stayed out of the extremely touristy places like Las Ramblas as we like exploring the local neighbourhood but there is not much here to explore. Later on, we moved to the area around Metro Girona and Monumental, which had a lot more character with its local tapas restaurants and children playing soccer in the neighbourhood. The restaurants near Sagrada Familia were mostly run by Chinese, not something I would consider authentic.

I booked the hotel from my family with my mum being disable in Feb 2014 requesting for the rooms to be dabale friendly and both rooms to be next to eacg other. However got there in June we were given rooms on different fllor and they were so tiny a wheelchair could not be moved in the room.

when I pointed out on the print out about the request for rooms, the receptionist started getting angry nad muttering under his breathe. I tired agains to explain what I had requested and he again got angry and was shouting at me.

i then had to contact my agent in London and arragne to move to a four star hotel.

Stayed for 5 nights.
Good points -
Reception was quick, courteous and helpful
3 lifts so never had to wait long
Good sized room with large double wardrobe and safe
Generous sized bathroom with very large shower cubicle
Breakfast - buffet style with reasonable range, good quality and plenty of it
Room cleaned daily
Effective air con at no extra charge
Location - just up road from Sagrada Familia and from metro - which was cheap and easy to
use

Negatives -
Location - Great for Sagrada Familia but a bit of a hike from main shoppingarea/beach. Taxi
to Las Ramblas costs about 8 euro v metro at 2.15 each
Air con quite noisy
Beds a bit hard - though we both slept well enough
Bathroom fan sounded like airplane engine and came on automatically with the light.
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room
Bathroom towels pretty threadbare

Overall a fair quality hotel with clean, spacious rooms and helpful staff. Could possibly do better for the cost - but could certainly do worse.

Tip - make full use of the metro. Cheap and very easy to use with English available at the station ticket machines and the route maps clear and plentiful.

Great central hotel. Clean and spotless rooms. Breakfast was ok but reception staff were fantastic. Loren was a treasurer. Staff make holidays and those at this hotel did just that. Would highly recommend it.

Location is 5 min walk from Sagrada Familia attraction. 5 min walk to metro station to go downtown. Also there is the hop on hop off bus right close to Sagrada Familia. So it is not downtown but easy to get around. Quiet quiet quiet. We needed the sleep so chose to be away from the noise of La Rambla area. Staff is friendly. Don't bother paying for interenet in lobby. Computers are slow. Wifi in room is awesome. Big clean bathrooms. Breakfast is awesome and good value. Nice big tub in rooms. We stayed on the side with the school yard and had no problem at all with the noise.

Very convenient and friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was very good and varied. The surrounding areas had quite entertaining street events. The cafés were quite good too and not expensive.
We would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: No internet access on upper floors but very good in reception areas and free
