Fantastic location: Gothic quarter, opposite Catedral, 2 mins from the metro and a taxi rank.
Rooms: Simply design, really comfortable beds, lots of storage for luggage etc, professional room service and quiet.
Service: Front of house are excellent, speedy and efficient check in and out, friendly bar staff

Sadly we didn’t get time to use the pool or restaurant but both looked smashing.

There is heaps to see in Barcelona, if you're there for a short while I'd definitely grab a local cab. Honest, cheap and bloody fast! Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia and Guell Palac are must sees! But get tickets in advance.

I stayed here with my daughter for 4 nights in July. The hotel is right in the middle of the Gothic Quarter - very central to everything - just around the corner from the Seu Cathedral. The staff at the front desk are very helpful and very friendly. We had a superior room which was lovely, with big bathroom and balcony. Very small balcony which overlooks the extremely busy street below and roof top restaurant opposite. Very strange set up with the opening and closing of balcony. We had to phone down to Front Desk and young man (Carlos, always very friendly) had to open it with a gadget, and then we had to phone down again to ask him to come up and close it. We couldn't understand why! In July, in the heat, and the crowds, you can't sleep with balcony door open. We didn't use the restaurant or bar. There's hundreds of bars and restaurants just outside your hotel door. Roof top swimming pool is small but very nice with deck chairs and lounge chairs in a small area if you want to smoke - really great to have after a sweaty day sightseeing. Room is very nice, but strangely there were no drawers to put anything in, very minimalistic, but we asked for more coathangers so hung everything up. A bit of a strange bathroom - a glass door, opaque but still you could see through, and with no lock. Great that I was here with my daughter, but maybe would have felt a bit uncomfortable 'with a man'! (And no toilet brush, very strange). Very nice hotel, clean, convenient and friendly.

This was the most enjoyable room of our trip. While you don't spend a lot of time in the room on vacation, the open balcony overlooking the magnificent cathedral, the square full of people and performers, and the church bells, made time spent in the room, a memorable part of our trip. We paid the slight increase for a room with a "cathedral view" and it was well worth it. The 4th-6th floors offer the best, unobstructed views.

While the rooms might be considered mid-priced in the $200-$250 US during our stay, the bar and restaurant are high end, so breakfast is about $25 US. The live piano player at night made the price of a beverage worth the premium.

Room Tip: Ask for 4th floor or above, facing the cathedral.

My friend told me to stay here in Barcelona and we were impressed. We booked the hotel 4-5 months prior to our check in and sent 3-4 requests over email, 1 was high floor and the other early check in. As a standard reply, the hotel said early check can only be possible depending on availability.
Anyways, we arrived early by 1030 AM. the taxi driver was smart as he dropped us right in front of the hotel gate, which is in a narrow lane. The reception area is nice lot of daylight and nice people to greet you. But we were just taken aback that no rooms were ready at all in the hotel which was quite hard to believe. We were not given rooms until 130 PM but we did not create any issues as the hotel reserves the right to check in at 2 PM. But usually we have travelled world around and when you request for early check in so many times, you get it. Not everyone leaves at noon time as many people have flights early like we did at 11 AM. So we left the hotel by 9AM.
I was looking forward for a room since we booked so early etc.
Anyways we got the highest floor, which is 5th and rooms are excellent, nice modern furniture, smart bathrooms etc. would have been awesome if the hotel had balcony or fully openable windows.

Service in the hotel is simply brilliant. RYAN helped us fully to plan our tours, metro, bus, sighseeing etc. He was great. The water kettle in the room was dirty upon check in and replaced instantly.

Location is brilliant, in the El gothic area, right near the beautiful cathedral. Ramblas is 2 mins walk from hotel.

The pool on the rooftop is small but nice. We did not have breakfast in the room package so cannot comment on that. The wifi works perfectly unlike many hotels it is fast and always connected.

I really enjoyed my stay here with my wife and service in the hotel. I really recommend everyone to stay here.

This is a clean , modern hotel in an excellent location. Stayed here with my husband for 4 nights in July. The room was a good size and well appointed and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, with excellent English.
The location was excellent and within walking distance of most major attractions. The Wednesday night complimentary walking tour was well worth doing and was interesting and informative. Had a great stay.

Room Tip: Further away from the square the quieter it will be

Stayed at this hotel last week for 3 nights with my husband and i was not disappointed. (Was very surprised by the previous review of terrible and can only assume they have the wrong hotel). Fantastic location a stones throw from the cathedral. Within walking distance of port/beach/ramblas shops, bars and restaurants. Rooms were a good size, modern with air conditioning. Hotel pool was just what you needed after a day site seeing and was an added bonus. We had breakfast included in our package and were not disappointed, although maybe a bit pricey 18 euros if purchasing on a daily rate. Hotel staff were polite and friendly and spoke excellent english and were very accomodating when needed. Will definately be returning had a fantastic stay and would recommend.

Located within a stones throw of the main city cathedral and within strolling distance of La Rambla and Plaza Real. The modern interior is as smooth as whipped cream and tasty as a chorizo with a rooftop pool for a late afternoon cool down. The rooms are spacious with smart bathrooms but room furniture a little less funcional. Our bedside 'table' was a section of tree, too small and low. That said we had a better room than in the Hostel opposite!
All staff very helpful (reception helped when our airport transfer did not arrive, don't use Resorthoppa.com). Breackfast excellent including hot made to order from kitchen.
Reception has computers with free internet use, not sure about wifi.
There are lower cost places to stay, but when time is limited and you want good service, just go for

Room Tip: First floor room on front street was fine, street bins empted 2am! Lift is like being in a sardine...
