“Wonderfully informal and relaxing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2014

While visiting Barcelona, I had an opportunity to indulge in the local fare (I have some vacation weight gain as the happy proof!). What better way to bring back those experiences than to take a cooking experience class and learn? I enrolled together with my daughter (9 years old) and my mom in a Cook and Taste Express Cooking Class (2 - 2 1/2 hours). The storefront where the courses are hosted is beautiful and easy to find right off Saint Jaume Square. The class hosted a small gathering of six, which was perfect for conversation, questions, and listening to stories from our chef, Maria. She was outstanding! She walked us through the preparation of gazpacho, paella and crema Catalana. Since this is an express class, the chef demonstrates the preparation of each dish and the "class" isn't cooking. I highly recommend this experience for a group of friends, family activity, or even a solo experience.

“Delightful afternoon of cooking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014

I had a fantastic time with this class. Our chef was very personable and knowledgable. The market tour was fun and we learned a great deal. The cooking was great - we all participated - even a little girl age 6! She was able to stack the tomato toast. It was a relaxing experience to drink wine, chat and cook. The chef called on us all to participate and everyone seemed comfortable taking part. I was a single had no difficulty fitting in and feeling comfortable. Well worth my time and the price. I would recommend this class for anyone interested in cooking. There will be a paella dinner party when I return home:)

“a lovely tasting time….”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

our cooking class in barcelona was one of those delightful experiences that make traveling so wonderful…a tour of the boqueria market to pick up some fresh ingredients was followed by a fun day of cooking gazpacho, paella, and some yummy veggies with romesco sauce…all accompanied by plenty of wine and fellowship with interesting classmates, ranging from the albuquerque family who lived in asia for years, to the funny, foodie NYJewish couple celebrating her 60th birthday, to the cute LA expatriate now living in barcelona…chef david was a delight and i'd highly recommend this to anyone wanting an "insider's view" of cooking the barcelona way….
