“Superb Quality & Location”
Reviewed 22 October 2011

Been to Barcelona a few times, stayed at this hotel for the first time.

Wow - this place is nice. This is a quality place. Our rooms were superb - everything you would expect from a 4* hotel and this is a good 4* (we have stayed at other supposed 4* hotels and the Barcelona Pullman Skipper puts them to shame).

Hotel is luxurious, fittings and decor excellent. Bedrooms, bathrooms, dressing gowns, slippers and toiletries all luxury. Large flatscreen tv with lots of channels. Mini-bar (pay extra). We even had a (side) view of the sea.

Breakfast was simply delicious - a full range of all the breakfast items you could wish for. Hot, cold, fresh fruit (excellent choice), drinks. Huge selection, far too much to list, but all quality and you really couldn't wish for more.

As you would expect, staff are also excellent - professional and helpful.
My brother used the pool and jacussi (even in February) and said it was lovely.

Location was superb - right by the marina and beaches. Some excellent restaurants nearby - some of our group loved the fresh seafood available. Main bus routes and the city tour buses run right outside.

This hotel is everything you could hope for in a top quality 4* hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and we would definately return. The only negative was that the bar was pricey, but you couldn't really expect it to be cheap!

We didn't eat in the restaurant apart from the superb breakfast, but it looked good.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room. Don't bother packing shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, etc. All suppl...

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Pullman Barcelona Skipper for three days prior to a cruise and really enjoyed the location and the hotel itself. The hotel is a short block to the sandy beaches of Barcelona and the many shops and snack places along the boardwalk. As you exit the front door the local city bus stop is a short walk.
The hotel itself is very well maintained with a helpul staff. There is a great rooftop pool but you need to experience it early as it closes at 6pm, which was a disappointment.
The hotel is a little pricey but you're really paying for location.

Great hotel. Loved the beach location and the staff was amazing. The only thing I would suggest is the pool/jacuzzi area staying open later. The elevator sign said 8pm but it was really only open until 7pm. Would have loved to have enjoyed the roof-top jacuzzi even later than that! Other than that, the concierge, the waiters, bartenders, housekeeping -- all amazing.

The hotel was a treat, rooms were unique and modern. The bed was comfy and we had a great balcony with a view of the pool and the sea. The wi-fi in the rooms didn't have a great signal, which was my biggest complaint. The hotel had packages online with breakfast included which was cheaper than the base rate! The hotel has some good resturants close by and the main casino blocks away if you like to gamble. For the money, I would stay here again.

Great hotel, a bit expensive. Especially the breakfast. If you are a member of A|Club you can get a good discount for a in advance booking or if you get one of members only offers.

Ask for a room with a view to the pool. If you get a room at the upper floor, above the breakfast parlor you can nicely see the sea and the sun rise.

Location is great, near the beach, next to the metro and bus 59 that takes you to Plaza Catalunya. You can walk to the Barceloneta.

I was nervous about booking a hotel outside of Barcelona’s city center but I’m glad I did. This hotel was a great respite from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona after a day of sightseeing. Upon my arrival to Barcelona’s airport I took a cab to the hotel, which couldn’t have been more than 15 to 20 minutes. The staff greeted me warmly (despite the occasional stare…I doubt they get a lot of African American customers) and quickly got me checked into my room. The staff, who all spoke decent English, was affable and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. The area is the selling point. The hotel is a block from the beach and I took full advantage of its proximity to the water and great restaurants (try Bestial).

I booked a room with two single beds. It was enough space for me and my travel companion. The bathroom was nicely appointed and clean. There was this odd door between the room and the hallway. Not sure of its purpose. The rooftop pool is great (the pool on the ground floor wasn’t open). Breakfast was included with our booking and it was top-notch. I set the alarm on my phone each day so that I wouldn’t oversleep and miss the variety of food available. If you are looking for hotel in the middle of a lot of activities, this isn’t the place for you. But if you want a nice hotel near the beach, close to the metro (Ciutadella Vila Olimpica), book the Pullman Skipper.

Room Tip: Book a room facing the interior courtyard
