The h10 Casanova does 80% of things incredibly well.

It has a good location, located about a 5 minute walk from Universiteat Metro station, but not necessarily great, as it seems we were walking at least 10-15 minutes for just about everything.

Upon check-in, you're greeted with a welcome glass of cava, and there are always some sweets in the lobby; which is great. However, when you enter the room, you find that there is no bottled water included. The room itself was good -- about what's to be expected for Barcelona. We had room 211, which is on the street corner of Grand Via and Casanova, and wouldn't recommend it. Every few minutes the room would shake (I believe because of the metro). It wasn't loud enough to keep us awake, but just enough to be annoying.

When they describe the rooftop pool as a "plunge" pool, I'm not sure that's necessarily accurate. It's certainly not big enough to swim in, but it's also only 3 feet deep, so you're going to be sitting on the floor of the pool if you want to submerge yourself.

All in all, I would've given this hotel a 4-star reccomendation, had it not been for what occurred on our last day. We left the do not disturb sign on, and housekeeping came in anyways. When they came in, it appears they broke some glass, and did an insufficient job cleaning it up. Coming back from a long day of walking in Barcelona, to then be stepping on broken glass in your room is less than a pleasant experience. When I called the front desk to inform them about this, the response was very apathetic.

Room tip: I'd reccomend a higher floor to get away from the Metro noise.

We spent four nights in the hotel. Our clean and comfortable room overlooked the Gran Via but there was no disturbance by traffic noise as the sound proofing was excellent.
The staff at reception were very efficient, by far the most friendly and helpful of the three hotels we stayed in on this trip.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.
The roof pool bar was a lovely place to relax after a day's sightseeing.

Stayed here for one night as we were going on a cruise and then stayed again one night on our return. Hotel was good location between airport and port. Would stay again if in Barcelona for a longer period as it was also good location for the Ramblas and restaurants etc. Hotel location pretty quiet.

Arrived from our cruised and the rooms is not ready so left for city seeing which was very nice and we came at 4pm and found the rooms not as requested and took time from us to accept what they offer. Some of the staff are not very friendly like ladies.Rooms with good size with mini bar and good bath room, location is 8 minutes from city center and have so many shops and restaurants around, a clean hotel, have a nice lobby , very busy staff with so many guests.
