SOHO Barcelona is a modern and really funky hotel located in the heart of Barcelona. Some of the rooms have big balconies so be sure to request for one when making the booking - I've visited the place twice and both times they've been able to comply. The service at the hotel works well and there is a small pool on the roof-top terrace for those hot summer evenings.

Very nice, modern, clean and trendy hotel in a walking distance from the heart of Barcelona. Very nice clean white sheets and comfortable bed. The plus room was very spacious and we had a view of the Gran Via. Roof top pool and lounge area were really nice and completely away from the busy city. Perfect start to a sunny day. Staff were helpful and very nice!

Room tip: Remember to email ahead and ask for a double bed in the room if you want one!

We stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of June 2014 having booked early at a rate of 371 euros for a Classic double room.
This is a very modern hotel in a good location on the Gran Via midway between the Plaza Espanya and the Plaza Catalunya, with some excellent cafes and tapas bars within a couple of minutes walk.
We asked for a quiet room and were given one on the fifth floor facing the park at the rear of the building which was very quiet in the evening & night, but noisy during the afternoon when families were playing in the park when we were trying to have a late afternoon siesta. The en-suite is fairly small and would be better with improved lighting.
All of the staff we encountered were very helpful and extremely polite and our room was spotlessly cleaned everyday by the excellent housekeeping staff.
The only negative point is the breakfast. There is scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages on offer, being kept warm with undertray heaters, but everyday we were there all of these items were completely cold, which is not good at 14 euros pp, although this was reduced to 11 euros pp as we had breakfast every day of our stay.. However, there is a also comprehensive selection of continental breakfast items.
The rooftop pool and lounging area is very good to relax after a day out walking.
Be aware although the hotel states it has a Lounge on the 1st floor, it is only used as a breakfast room and is not a Bar/Lounge as you might expect.
Overall I would agree with most of the positive comments previously posted and this is a very good hotel for the price paid.

We stayed here upon our arrival in Barcelona for 4 nights and returned after touring for our last night before flying home. The staff was always friendly and helpful no matter who was on the desk. The hotel emailed us instructions on how to arrive on the Aerobus from the airport. We stayed on the seventh floor in room 74 the first visit. It was large, modern with a beautiful, large terrace. Our last night was room 73, quite a bit smaller but still nice with a sitting area and smaller terrace. The hotel is a perfect location. Easy walk to La Rambla, sights and restaurants.

Room tip: Seventh floor rooms are suites and definitely worth the added cost for space and terrace Room 74 is quite large. 73 smaller, but nice.
