Not a great welcome on arrival . Room was nice and comfortable , bathroom was stylish with plenty of mirrors , toiletries and a hair drier. The shower was good but it had no door at the end and the water kept splashing on the floor tiles that became very slippery and dangerous .(I would advice that a curtain be put there). It would have been good to have a tea/coffee making facility on the room. Very nice to be able to go to the bar on the terrace to relax and chill out with a glass of wine. Position of the hotel is good as not very far from the center.

Room Tip: Bring with you a traveling kettle.

Thank you for describing all those aspects that you found interesting during your stay here at Villa Emilia hotel. Concerning the shower we would like to note that it has a modern and open design. I stayed at Emilia for three nights while attending a conference in Barcelona. The hotel was very nice and I enjoyed my stay there. The staff was helpful and nice. Location was ok, being in close proximity of a subway station and an Aerobus stop. Free wifi is always appreciated.

I didn't pre-book the breakfast online because I thought it was a bit pricey (19 euros/night), which was good because when I arrived at the hotel the price was 14 euros per day, or even 10 euros per day (!) if I had breakfast there every day of my stay, which I decided to do. Breakfast was very tasty and fresh, and I can really recommend it (just don't pre-book it!). Dinner at the Zinc bar wasn't great, especially the a la carte which was quite a disappointment (very bland). The staff at the bar was nice though.

We stayed 4 nights at this gorgeous boutique hotel. Cannot fault a thing. Gorgeous room, ambience, food, staff and surroundings. Really quiet yet handy for the metro and a 15 min walk to La Rambla. Would absolutely recommend! Stylish atmosphere in the bar and lobby yet friendly and welcoming. Loved it!

Thanks to TripAdvisor reviews, we spent three nights at Villa Emilia a few weeks ago. Attractive boutique hotel with attentive, helpful staff. We were delighted with the location - quieter neighborhood, but short walk to the sites - especially lovely Montjuic Park and fabulous Miro Museum and an even shorter walk to two metro stops. We would not have been happy had we stayed on the crowded Las Ramblas. Room was well appointed & bed was very comfortable. Appreciated having a safe in the room. Liked the afternoon coffee/ pastry refreshments.

Slightly away from the main part of Barcelona Las Ramblas is a good 1.5 mile walk away. It is though close to the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc and a taxi ride to Poble Espanyolmore (well worth a visit really enjoyed visiting here. 6/10

I’ve given this a good rating purely for the service given to us by Izabel in the Zinc Bar, very friendly and polite. Reception staff were also very good assisting us with taxis and accommodating us with a late check-out. Bar staff were also very friendly. 9/10

The room was comfortable but rather on the small size for two people (room 53). Unfortunately I had a bad night’s sleep due to the poor quality pillows and the stuffiness of the room at times. The wardrobe lacked a good supply of hangers and there were none for women wishing to hang skirts etc. Bathroom was adequate but soon steamed up and I didn’t like the sliding door to the bathroom. There is a long mirror in the b/room but this could be position better in the bedroom. Though the room does have a minibar I was surprise at having to pay for bottle water thought this might be complimentary. 6/10

We ate at the Zinc Bar on the first night and have to say it was a delicious meal. Afternoon tea on the mezzanine is not that great a pot of coffee/tea with a selection of 2 pastries (probably left over from breakfast)! I was though very pleased with the breakfast selection all very good. 9/10

Overall – a pleasant stay for two nights (no more) would have preferred a larger room, and the location was too far for me.

Wife and I travel frequently even before we were married. We decided to start giving our feedback on hotels, restaurants and attractions as this site has helped us a lot in the pass.

First review is hotel Emilia in Barcelona, Spain. Due to our busy lives we had to postpone our honeymoon. So we stayed here for 1st leg of our European honeymoon June 1, 2014 for 4 nights.

The welcome drink they gave us was lovely, rooms, lobby, restaurant lounge was super nice and clean. We've stayed at some "high end" chain hotels, but must say hotel Emilia is one of our top 2 hotels we"ve ever stayed at. The service from the staff was so friendly, and the maids did such a great job cleaning our room! Beds were super comfortable especially after a long flight on air canada rouge :(

Location was fantastic. We were only a couple of min away from Rockfort metro, and also close to the aerobus. My advise if your coming from the airport and taking the aerobus get off at Urgell station.

Unlikely we will not visit this hotel again :( as we don't travel to the same cities twice outside North America. But we will defiantly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Barcelona.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of May as a group of 6. First impressions are always important and Villa Emilia did not dis-appoint. A lovely reception area, bar and roof terrace!
The rooms are spacious, very comfy beds, a safe (always a bonus) and a modern bathroom (with a hairdryer). We had a view overlooking the crossroads and the road noise at all times was minimal.
The continental breakfast was really tasty and excellent coffees were freely delivered. In our party we had two coeliacs (gluten free) and the hotel were very accommodating. We had a call the day before our arrival to ask what we would like for breakfast and were supplied with a variety of gluten free goodies each morning.
The location of the hotel is ideal! Far enough away to get some peace, but equally, within walking distance of the key places and a short walk from the Metro station.
Finally, the staff were all extremely friendly and very attentive! Nothing was too much trouble.
We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and can't wait to return!
