We spent 8 nights in Barcelona with my mother who celebrated her 89th birthday while we were there. The initial communications with the owner were satisfactory - I provided our names, home addresses, passport numbers and flight information and our estimated time of arrival at the apartment. A couple weeks before our vacation I emailed the owner asking how we would gain access to the apartment. No response. One week prior to leaving I emailed again, no response. The day before we left I emailed again and also emailed Flipkey via TripAdvisor, no response from the owenr. We arrived at the apartment 15 minutes prior to the time I told the owner. Flipkey responded with the owner's phone number - I called four times, no answer, our son who lives in Barcelona also called with no answer as well as a lady who lived in the apartment building. We stood outside on the sidewalk for 45 minutes, ringing the bell to the apartment. Finally we went to the café across the street so that my mother could sit down. After another hour I had to find an alternative place to stay the night - we had traveled 12 hours and my poor mother was so tired. We booked one night at a hotel near the apartment. While my mother napped, the owner's representative finally called and asked if the owner had given us his name and phone number - no he had not. He showed us the apartment and he agreed to give us a credit for the one night and we moved into the apartment the next day. The representative gave me his phone to talk to the owner - the man would not stop yelling and talking over me, telling me that we were not at the apartment at the appointed time and that I should tell the hotel it was a mistake and not stay there. I tried to tell him my mother was sleeping in the hotel and that we could not just leave. He yelled that this was Span not America - I finally agreed with him and said that he was right - in the United States we respect others and listen. This man is not the type of ambassador that Spain needs and has no concept of good business relations. Once we got past this horrible beginning, we did enjoy our stay in Barcelona and the apartment. All the amenities were there as stated - except the dryer didn't work, instruction manuals for other appliances were in several languages but not in English, and one of the toilets leaked water all over the floor - apparently the representative thought it was fixed but it was not. The apartment was spacious, furniture comfortable and kitchen pretty well furnished. The location was within walking distance of the hop on/hop off bus stop, Arc de Triomph where we met for the BarcelonaStreetStyle tour (very interesting, knowledgeable guide, recommended tour) and the Picasso museum. We discovered a good tapas restaurant close to the apartment, Bruc33, and enjoyed dinner there twice. As much as we enjoyed the apartment, I'm not sure we would stay again - it cost me an extra 265 EU due to the first night in the hotel - I asked that the owner reimburse this cost since he never responded to my communications and was not at the apartment at our arrival time - he laughed and said he "needed to make a profit". I am still waiting for the cleaning deposit ...

Merci de partage votre commentaire avec nous Peut être que c’était une nouvelle expérience pour vous, mais Il faut bien comprendre que vous êtes responsable de la bonne conservation de l´appartement pendant votre sejour. Comme vous savez et vous avez reconnue avant partir vous avez griffe le sol de la salle manger. Pour cette raison il y a une caution à retenir pour payer les dommages occasionnés. La caution fuit retenue pour Flip Key depuis les preuves montres. En ce cas là, Mademoiselle, Il s´agit d´assumer votre responsabilité.
