“perfect in every way”
Reviewed 11 June 2012

Loved our meal at Cafe De L'Academia. A little hard to find but that's half the fun! Wanted so much to return at least one more time before we left Barcelona....but it wasn't to be. It will be our first stop next trip!
The food is what you would expect at a much more expensive restaurant and the menu is creative, fun and unimposing. The best meal we had in Barcelona by far.
Keep up the outstanding work. you have two ardent fans in Hawaii!!!

“Great desserts”
Reviewed 11 June 2012 via mobile

We went here with our kids and we all loved it. Great courtyard atmosphere, they served chips for the kids even though it wasn't on the menu and they had 1/2 serve options for desserts which we all loved and led us having a few options, a great night out.

“Pleasant, but not outstanding”
Reviewed 11 June 2012

We had an evening meal here. The starter was innovative and excellent - potato based. Our main courses - steak and duck - were average, both slightly overcooked and the duck dry. Wine list is good, but pricey. The sitaution is very attractive - outdoors in a small square only five minutes walk from the cathedral. It was very busy - completely full inside and out, which must say something.

“Amazing”
Reviewed 11 June 2012

We dinner here with my family for my birthday and it was divine. The prices are amazing and do not match the quality. The service was great too. The inside is lovely however it was too hot to sit inside, so either way it's a lovely place to spend an evening.

“Best meal we had in Spain”
Reviewed 9 June 2012

The food was excellent, well prepared and well presented. I had the quail which was delicious. The wine offerings were also very good.

Reservations are required especially if you want to eat outside in the square. We arrived about 30 minutes before opening for the first seating which is at 8:30. The doors don't open until them. We got one of the two open tables inside the restaurant. Many people came by after we were seated and were only offered seats at the bar.
