I have really enjoyed the food there. We more or less stumbled upon it walking along the beach. It was the only place full of people in suits during the lunch time (i.e. locals). There was no room at the tables outside, but we have waited patiently, and the nice people at the restaurant took care of us and seated us after 15-minute wait. We have started with the large Spanish oysters, which were simply awesome. For the main course, we have had the best seafood paella I have ever eaten. The desserts were also truly awesome. It is not a cheap place, but definitely worth the money.

The restaurant is in the front sea, have fresh wonderful sea food, the best Paella with huge shrimps. The waiter Pablo (not sure that is his name) friendly and nice made the dinner even better.

One paella for 2, which was not enough even for one, it was around 30 euro (the cheapest on the list)! !! Portions smaller than gourmet restaurants. 12 Euro for one salad, 10 Euro almost cobierto (service) and at the end, 2 bottles of water, 4 glasses of wine, 6 mini croquettes balls and one mini chevre veggies salad for half person and one paella ( for 2) = 80 euro !!! Crazy MAJO !!!

Pros:
1. Great location in Barcoleneta
2. Prices are not bad ($155USD for 2 people)
3. Great wines

Cons:
1. Food was good, but certainly not the best seafood in Barcelona as many critics suggest

Can Majo is our favourite place to go in Barceloneta to eat delicious fish dishes in view of the sea. It is a family run place with a focus on quality (a rarity in this location). I have wonderful memories of enjoying afternoons on their terrace with my family when they have visited and look forward to returning very soon! It is deservedly a very popular place so I recommend booking a couple of days in advance. Every rice dish is outstanding, but my favourite thing to order here is their suquet!
