I had the pleasure of staying at the Naoko penthouse and would happily recommend the apartment and DestinationBCN to every traveler looking to rent their own stylish place in the magnificent Barcelona.

The apartment was exactly the way I expected it to be and just the way it looked in the pictures on the website, and what is more, the bathroom was even better and the terrace even bigger (and with even greater views!) than I thought they would be. The building is well maintained and conveniently located next to all things one may need (including the metro station, cafes, ATMs etc.) and is walking distance to many major attractions (e.g. La Boqueria, Passeig de Gracia, Barcelona Cathedral, Placa Catalunya, Barri Gotic etc.) Naoko is well equipped with everything an independent traveler may require during their stay and wi-fi works perfectly even when using it outside on the terrace.

And last but definitely not least, everyone at DestinationBCN that I got to meet was super friendly and helpful - I do appreciate a personal approach! Would stay again!

Our family stayed in the Ghost/Finn Apartments during our stay in early July. I can't say enough how much we loved this place. It is certainly not an inexpensive lodging option....but it is TOTALLY worth the money. Very big apartments, very very clean, all the things you need to get started in the kitchen, comfortable beds, nice towels, every detail was top notch. They also give you a nice booklet of information for reference on the apartment and recommendations for eating, sight-seeing, etc. And Camila was on-sight when we were there and was very helpful when we asked for any help.
The location was also great. We walked down La Rambla everyday, walked to Gothic Quarter, walked to Barcenoletta, we even walked to La Sagrada Familia (but certainly allow about 40 minutes for that one!!!). Great place to say. Gets my highest recommendation!

Thank you Destination BCN for a fabulous week in Apartment Reial. Very impressed with your standard of service and the apartment from beginning to end. You thought of absolutely everything, and the apartment was even better than photos on website, totally exceeded our expectations. The last reviewer on Reial talked about noise, the smokestack and the apartment looking tired !!!!! We didn't have any problems with noise in the slightest and never saw even a wisp of smoke so not quite sure what they're talking about !!!! We had sun on the main terrace the whole day and the cool down pool was lovely to keep laying in for a cool down. Amazing apartment in an amazing city, don't think either of us will ever forget those views.

I just finished spending a week in "Ghost" with a dear friend and we could not have been happier.

Service: I booked this with Anne/Camilla/Miklos way back in the winter and they were always very prompt and helpful with the logistics. So, off the bat, you feel taken care of! Since their office is downstairs, I always knew I could find one of them if needed. They were kind enough to print our boarding passes and schedule a taxi for my airport return too! So "A+" for service!

Location: you cannot beat the location of all the apartments on the Ronda Universitat! Placa Catalunya is a few blocks away and it is a main hub for the tourist hop on/hop off buses, right at the top of Las Ramblas, next to the Passeig de Gracia, and adjacent to the Gothic quarter !! It couldn't BE more centrally located! So, A+ for location!

The apartment itself: Ghost has a lovely feel to it and it is EXACTLY like the photos ! Anne and Miklos have outdone themselves with the furnishings and the quality of everything is top notch: Bosch appliances, great beds, plenty of super fluffy towels, WiFi, a portable phone, dishes, pans....You name it, they have thought of it and provided it! They had left a little welcome Cava, cookies, water, a directory of favorite restaurants, laundry detergent, coffee, tea... I Mean EVERYTHING you need! Barcelona is a "happening" city with lots of activity, people on the streets, lots to do and look at, but once you enter the apartment, you are in this beautifully serene environment. We often went out for a few hours, came back to recharge, and then went back out again! It is like an oasis in the midst of a bustling City. So, A+ for Ghost!

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the apartment, the owners or the location. If you choose any one of their apartments in this location, you will be pleased, I am positive! Their other apartments are elsewhere (not sure of locations) and I am sure that they are equally as lovely. But I chose this one for its proximity to the "action", yet also for the peaceful ambiance depicted in the photos!

We arrived early morning after the long trip from the US. After calling from the taxi to tell her we were on our way, Camille was there to great us and get us checked in.
Really great, spacious apt with everything we needed. Very comfortable beds, very clean. A little dark in spots, but really no complaints.
Location is excellent with 3 metro stops nearby. Easy walk to major tourist areas such as Las Ramblas, Gothic district, Raval and L'Eixample. Many great restaurants a short walk away.
Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We have visited Barcelona before and this time we decided to stay at BCN Appartment – Reial. The location of this apartment was within the Placa Reial and ideally placed just off Las Ramblas in the Gothic Quarter – a perfect location for sightseeing and shopping. The contemporary interior design of the apartment was very good - the ‘loft’ style suiting our tastes, although clean, it was starting to look a little tired. Upon arrival we were greeted by Anna and she was marvelous.

The only downsides: ……..the lift to the penthouse apartment was occasionally temperamental (the light in the lift stopped working midweek and the lift stopped working completely by the end of the week – making it difficult to carry down 2 heavy suitcases 5 floors!) Also, we could not always sit on the roof terrace as the gas and burning fumes from the neighbouring kitchen exhausts/chimneys was too overpowering (very dependent on wind direction). Finally – mid week a new restaurant (on the ground floor under the apartment) had its launch night (“Musik Kitchen – Ocana”) it started at 6pm and closed at 6am – with loud dance music continuously. Unfortunately, it would seem this is now the norm for this particular restaurant going forward, although subsequent nights quietening down at around 2am –the noise can be disturbing. Good suggestion – bring ear plugs! But remember Barcelona Gothic Quarter is old, and buildings are close together.
There were plenty of metal chairs on the roof terrace, but only one wooden sun lounger, we would have preferred another one, but the parasol was really useful as the temperature was in the 30s!

Otherwise, we really enjoyed staying at this apartment and would certainly use other BCN apartments in the future.
