We had planned to eat elsewhere but that restaurant was closed for renovations. The very helpful staff at our hotel (Alma Barcelona) recommended Roig Robi. We went over a few minutes before they opened, but they were generally accommodating and we had an excellent meal. The tiny squid saute I had for lunch was among the best seafood entrees I've ever had. Extremely fresh and perfectly cooked and seasoned.
As other guests trickled in, it was clear that the place is a local favorite of the well-to-do. Al the other customers were well-to-do appearing Catalans.
