“Read the reviews - great little place with outstanding food”
Reviewed 10 April 2014 via mobile

Read the reviews and sought this place out - it's a cosy little restaurant just off the Paral.lel - had the octopus salad, razor clams, iberico ham and chorizo hash - generous well-made tapas, good friendly service and a very reasonable price - menus were in Spanish, Catalan, English, French, German and Japanese! And the waiter certainly spoke English and appreciated our efforts in Spanish too! House white for 6.90euros was a great choice too!

“I cried over the razor clams”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

My wife and I split a few dishes and loved all of them. Then came the razor clams. Holy smokes. We nearly fought over them. So we ordered another plate. I nearly cried, they were THAT good. Our friendly and attentive (and English speaking) waiter said that it's hard to stop eating them. So, we ordered another plate. My god.

A few days later, we went back. More octopus, more razor clams. More tears. I love their Galecian seafood. A lot.

This place is a local, corner bar-type restaurant. It's not fancy. But the food is amazing and the prices are great. The house jug of white wine is like $5 and it's awesome. If I lived in Barcelona, this would be a once-a-week place for sure.

“Some of the best seafood I've ever eaten!”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Visited with my girlfriend during a long weekend in Barcelona, having read the great reviews on TripAdvisor - we were not disappointed. We went at about 8.30pm on a Saturday night and were immediately able to get a table (although it did fill up by about 9). The waiters were extremely friendly and the menu comes in a number of languages.

If it is ever possible to identify the best prawn I've ever eaten, this is it! The octopus - the house speciality - melted in the mouth, and the 'pimientos de padron' green peppers seriously addictive!

A short walk from Poble Sec metro, this is well worth the visit, no matter where in Barcelona you are staying!

“The perfect corner restaurant!”
Reviewed 21 October 2013

I always go back to A Gudina with pleasure. The staff is among the nicest in town and they really make an effort to make you feel home. Along with the great tapas, the VERY lively and noisy atmosphere and the reasonable prices, they make a visit to this pupleria "de toda la vida" a mandatory appointment if you're looking for a nice, non-touristic experience in town. Try it (and ask for the queso gallego, it's excellent!).

“Excellent restaurant with a nice dishes”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

We have chosen this restaurant because of our friend's recommendation and the menu we looked through. She told it was very good. And indeed, we have been satisfied with everything there. Service was very fast and good. Oysters were just perfect. No kitchen smells (we have been sitting in the second hall, behind the wall that is opposite to the bar desk). We really enjoyed our visit there and recommend this restaurant to everyone.
