We visited this restaurant for dinner in late May at the recommendation of our hotel's concierge. The decor did not appeal to us with their pink tableclothes. The wait staff did a reasonably good job as the did recommend a good bottle of wine at a fair price. However, the food was terrible. We ordered the Paella for two, and it was inedible. It smelled of spoiled seafood, and was grey in color and had a mushy appearance. The taste was also fishy and "off." After forcing a few bites down we stopped eating and moved on with our evening. The waiter did sense something was wrong and offered us another dish, but we had had our filled of Dario.

We ate at Casa Carion on our last night in Barcelona on the recommendation of our hotel. I was impressed to see a tank with a large variety of fresh seafood just inside their front door.
Ordering ala carte would be very expensive so we each ordered from the per fixe menu offering 3 courses for about $40 eu. I had the white asparagus appetizer and the fish and meat paella. Both were very good and the presentation was beautiful. I liked this restaurant quite a bit but wasn't blown away until I ordered dessert.....I was initially offered the full dessert menu and spotted the frozen fig mousse with chocolate sauce on it, before the waiter returned to direct me back to the pre fixe dessert choices. I asked him to please bring me the frozen fig mousse and the charge me for the difference. We brough me this fabulous slice of chewey/cold frozen mousse and a silver toureen of the most heavenly smelling chocolate sauce ever - instead of melting the frozen mousse, the mousse chilled the chocolate enough for it to become fudgy. This dessert was absolutely out of this world and made me love our meal at Casa Dario!
