The HIGHLIGHT and "must see" in Girona is "The Museum of Jewish History" located in the Jewish Quarter (The Call). For more than 6 centuries, Jews were an integral/important contribution to the life of the City. Sadly, by 1492 ALL Girona Jews had converted, been killed or fled. As a way to remember the Jewish Legacy of Girona, in 1987 the City Counsel underwrote and began the project to recover part of the Jewish Quarter. In 2000 the Museum opened. The Museum artistically and beautifully tells the Story. The Gift Shop has a lovely selection of momentos. This Museum is truly a gem and not to be missed..
