Amazing slice of history in Girona, worth a coffee or drink sitting at the bottom of the steps too. Interesting look at the old clothes / outfits over the years too

The Cathedral's built at the top of a hill, and there are a LOT of steep steps to get up to it. Alternatively, there's a narrow snicket through the old mediaeval town, but it's cobbled and anyway there's just the same height to be gained. If you have mobility problems it may be best to think of some other way of getting to the top - taxi ? bus, if there is one ? - then walking down.

We had a relaxing half an hour in the Cathedral - beautiful building not busy and the Treasury rooms very interesting!

Excellent museum, beautiful cloister, towering location reached by wide and dramatic stairway. Pretty cafe at the base of the stairs.
