“Inexpensive and tasty”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2012

All tapas all the time...all one price (under 4 each). Good flavours and good service. They found an English menu for us. They suggest six items for two people but if you are hungry you may need a couple more. Salads were a bit larger than anticipated. Both the carrot salad and bacon salad were really tasty. We had the carrot cake and cheese cake which are made in house. Not sweet at all until you added the jam. With a bottle of wine it was under 50 euros.

“Friendly quirky quality”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2012

Just down a backstreet from the cathedral, this small tapas restaurant sits in a lesser frequented location. On the evening we ate (on the tiny terrace) we were first there, but by we were leaving it was full and buzzing, with folk of all ages. With excellent friendly service, a good range of simple but quality tapas and reasonable prices we could see why. The interior has been well described by other reviewers, but if you like any of the clothing on show, it can be made to commission by a friend of the restaurant owners.

“Tapas Perfecto”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2012

Fantastic tapas, cheap, english menus and very friendly. The decor was quirky and original with old "singer" sowing machine tables and random knited garments on the walls, fantastic

“Amazing tapas, original dishes, fantastic value, quirky restaurant.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2012 via mobile

I thought this place was fantastic. Some of the best tapas we have had in Spain at the best value. Each dish costs 3.80. We had 6 dishes for two people which worked out perfectly. The tuna was my favourite dish followed by the chicken curry cous cous. They have english menus and you can order wine by the glass if you wish. The restaurant has been designed beautifully and they have clearly taken a lot of time, effort and pride over its look. There is a textile theme. You eat on old sewing tables, there are wool balls decorating the ceiling and the lights are made of old irons and hangers. Lovely quiet location near the cathedral. You should definately visit.

“Quirky furniture, not let down by the food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2012

I like this place, where else can you see irons converted to lights and old sewing tables used as dining tables? That aside, the tapas is good and well priced (all under 4 euros), the service is friendly, the room looks good with a buzzy atmosphere. It is very close to the cathedral but actually in a part of town not served by other restaurants (up in the old town parallel to the top of the cathedral rather than at the foot with other places) and offers a location on a corner plot in the heart of the old town but with a different view to that of other restaurants. There is a nice sized outside space on decking where you can eat or just have a drink between courses (usually fag in hand, this being Spain). Unfortunately, only open in the evening as it would be a nice spot for lunch given its location so close to the cathedral. Try it, you will like it. Particularly ideal choice if you are staying in the Hotel Historic.
