“Worth the visit if in Lerida”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2014

The views are fantastic. Unless you are scared of heights, you should make it up to the top of the bell tower.

“The best spot of the city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2014

The cathedral is designed in a transitional style between Romanesque and Gothic. It lacks almost any influence of Islamic architecture. The floor plan is of a basilica in a Latin cross with a nave and two aisles. The tower is octagonal with a central space of five apses. The interior was decorated in painted murals and sculpture, much of which is still preserved, but much of which has been despoiled during the War of Spanish Succession.

“A good enough reason on it's own to visit Lleida”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014

You can't visit LLieda without a short walk up to the Castle and Cathedral The Cathedral is an architectural wonder. Nice touches were the large circular mirrors placed in such a way as to show the beauty of the high ceilings which otherwise strain your neck having to look up for so long!

“A must”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 October 2013

A castle, transformed into a cathedral and then for centuries into an army quarter and now being recuperated. Do take a guide available at the premises otherwise you shall miss a lot of details

“Very elevated site; closed after lunch!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2013 via mobile

Well it is Spain so it may not be surprising to know that the Cathedral interior is closed most of the afternoon! Nonetheless the view over the city and its surrounds from the area around the Cathedral are still worth it.
