“A bit of New York in Sitges”
Reviewed 19 May 2012

We have just spent 5 nights at the Alenti. This is a great hotel on many levels.

The hotels design is similar to many New York boutique hotels. Every detail has been carefully thought out and executed with great flair. It is ultra modern but comfortable and easily the best modern building in Sitges.

We had the rooftop room with large terrace. The room wasn't that big but the window opened up wide and the balcony became our living and relaxation space with lots of comfortable furniture and and outdoor bath that doubled as cool plunge pool when things got too hot.

From the first contact the staff were excellent (certainly better than New York), friendly and efficient. Special mention to Adrian who served us breakfast each morning in the courtyard and helped us out with transport questions and restaurant recommendations. The chambermaids were quick and made the beds with fresh sheets each day (a nice touch).

Breakfast was good as was the lunch we had on a busy saturday. Wine prices were very reasonable and it was good to see the owner helping out and supervising.

When we first arrived we thought we might be kept awake by the nightlife but even at the weekend we heard very little.

All in all this hotel is a credit to the staff and owners, I run a hotel myself and recognise quality when I see it.

Sitges is a great resort with good restaurants and miles of sand beaches.

We will definitely return.

Thanks to them all

Nicholas malcolm

Room Tip: Monobus service from airport is good and train to Barcelona is easy.

We stayed here for 3 nights in February, it is a modern well designed and comfortable hotel. Very central in Sitges with good staff and great breakfast.
Our room faced out over some roof tops at the rear of the hotel, it had a huge sliding glass door to a juliet balcony.
The hotel was deserted as it was early in the year so it was very quiet, you could distantly hear people in the restaurant as there is no door between reception and our room which is the first one you come to when you go upstairs - this did'nt bother us as it was so quiet however I imagine in peak season it may be noisier.

Room Tip: Maybe choose a room away from the reception

If you are going for parties and to enjoy Sitges, then this is the place to stay. Located in the heart of the clubs and pubs, but in the same time having intelligence and charming atmosphere. This is a small hotel, which gives you personal touch. Beach is couple meters from the hotel. Restaurant is nice for breakfast or lunch. Very professional and helpful staff.
We had room in the 3rd floor. Very comfortable room and bad. We had no terace , however there was large window.

Room Tip: Be sure to have 3rd floor rooms (9,8 or 7), if you would like to have good sleep and silent night.

We stayed in the suite and after 3 nights of lying awake at night until 3.00/4.00p.m. listening to street noise (bad karaoke, shouting and music) we asked to be moved. The manager was sympathetic and handled the situation well and our next room was much quieter. We completely accept others would love the suite but it is absolutely not sound-proofed (as claimed on the website). Breakfast good. Staff polite and helpful.

I would call this a decent 3 star level hotel.

The "superior" room was comfortable and well worth paying the extra euros just to have the noise isolation from that busy party street in front of the hotel. Stayed for a week in feb and paid Euros 84 a night average which I found to be appropriate with breakfast included but I wouldn't pay any more.

Good breakfast and well situated in the town and one of the reception guys really helped make the stay as comfortable as possible. The rest of the staff are nothing special but thankfully there are not too many.

Its less than a minute from the beach on foot and 10 minutes walk from the railway, so perfect.

You can tell that the hotel has been neglected bait since it was built, just needs a few tweaks to give it an extra star:
Improvements would be the TV (unusable as no english channels and so slow in changing channels) and little things like the air con that made noise all night and the shower door that would not close correctly and so the bathroom floor would get wet. The double bed contained 2 single mattresses that weren't the most comfortable to start with. At this level of hotel a sound system for iPod would have been nice too.

Free wi-fi was really useful and a nice touch.

Room Tip: Pay the few extra euros for for the superior rooms at the back of the hotel for a quieter stay.

This is a great option for staying in Sitges. Close to shops, restaurants, bars, the beach, can walk to/from the train station. The hotel is clean, staff caring and friendly. I would definitely stay here again. Hotel is gay friendly!

Room Tip: During Carnival, Ask for a room in the back of the hotel. There are a few disco bars close by, the...
