I have eaten here 3 times - prior to seeing the reviews here .... not sure what people are expecting from a cantina in a busy holiday resort ... but a cantina is exactly that - its not a 5* restaurant. Who orders lasagna from a spanish tapas cantina - come on guys - give us a break.

The tapas here are great, the menus are available in english and the staff spoke english to others in the restaurant who needed help.

This place was packed at lunchtimes and every dish i saw come out looked very appetising and only empty plates went back to the kitchen! Gambas are great - all the traditional spanish tapas, meat/fish/veg ones are available, in good portions.

No complaints and good value too.

Dont go to a Spanish Cantina and order a pizza or lasagna!
Would you go to pizza hut and order paella?

I would def return.

We were looking for tabas and paella and this restaurant had both so we sat down there. (Big mistake) we have ordered two see food paellas for €22 and one tapas menu for two for €25 The size of the paella for two was smaller than a single in the restaurant we had on the day after for €15 and it was mainly rice. We only had two pieces of mussels and a couple of small crabs on the top and that's all. When we complained they said sorry we serve like this.
The tapas menu for €25 was 6 different things. The patatas bravas was nice but I think it was a ready made sauce. Breaded chicken bites... it was chicken pure shaped with gelly and frozen than fried. There was also some fish which we never had as he just served a very bad croquette 4pc instead. We had 6 tiny breaded chees balls. 4 slices (tiny) dried bread with some tinned tomato sauce on the top. Also asked for fried peppers as he said its hot peppers. It was all sweat.
Btw looked like the waited took or smoked something.

Never again!
If you want a good paella go to Santa Maria about 2 min from there.

The pizza was black burnt on the bottom of the crust. It was like cement.
The pasta was in a sauce that seemed to be mostly water.
Even the waiter said he would not eat the food when we complained - and still charged us full price.
DON'T EAT HERE

We've been here several times and always enjoyed the food. The menus have english translations so you know what you're getting and the staff are friendly and polite. My spanish is terrible but their english was good enough to make the ordering easy enough. Their prices are ok and the quality of the food is quite good. The spicy pork skewers (not actually on skewers) are good, as are the croquettes. The pescaditos fritos (small whole fried fish) are a particluar favourite! We never ventured inside as their is a small area of tables outside that's perfect for people-watching and enjoying the sun. All in all, a nice place to eat if you're not expecting anything fancy or terribly authentic.

Stopped in for a bite and the place was crowded so we assumed it would at least be decent. They didn't speak English - which is totally fine - but didn't seem to want to cross the language barrier by describing things. We were sent 3 servers who all seemed frustrated with us. We ordered a few tapas and a pizza (they had a big pizza sign outside so we thought we'd give it a go). Everything tasted like it came from a freezer. It tasted just about as good as your high school cafeteria. The beer was pleasant, but the bill was not. For terrible food it was terribly expensive.

I would skip this place.
