We arrived at 10.30 local time and were very impressed
By 1.30 we had no room but were told we would get our room within 5 minutes
Getting bill for lunch took forever
So far I have to say I am worried about how my visit will work out
Sun loungers are plentiful but in too small a space

I think it is one of the best hotel in Sitges... The only problem is that you have to walk 15 minutes to go to the city center...
But great hotel in a great place and the personal are very kind and helpful

It's been a while since I last stayed here and glad to see that the rooms have been remodelled. The checkin was quick and the new checkin area very user friendly and welcoming, no big counter anymore. The staff could walk around from the back of their desk and shake your hand and welcome you, as they did.

Allocated room on the fifth floor over looking the sea and town so the views were delightful, except the morning when it rained. The new beds are firm, clean and comfortable. Nice new desk area with plenty of power points and the wifi worked really well, even in the outside pool area. The bathroom has been changed too, sadly no longer with a tub just one of those new rainforest showers, which I guess is more environmentally friendly. Perhaps some rooms have tubs?

Unfortunately, breakfast was not included in my rate and was an eye popping 14.50euro per person if booked the day before so did not take the offer instead choosing to eat on the seafront in one of the many places doing breakfast for a lot less.

The pool area has not changed nor has the bar area but the common areas are now all black and red with modern lines. The L3 bus will take you from outside the station up to the hotel if you do not fancy walking or a taxi is about 5 eur during the day and 9 at night !!! There is a sandy beach just down the hill and the marina is on the other side which is nice for a stroll and has a few restaurants. The hotel is good choice but just a little far from the town if you do not mind walking. Your choice.

Definitely a nice hotel when you are in a large group: service is very good, facilities are great too (meeting rooms, auditorium, large restaurant) and the quality of food is great, even when you are in a group of 200 persons. The restaurant is very noisy unfortunately when so many people are together. It shold really be soundproofed.
The swimming pool is a bit small for such a large hotel and must be packed in summer.
Rooms are of good quality, neutral decoration as in any international hotels. The rooms in the upper floors have nice view over the sea and a pleasant terrace.
The lobby area is really impressive by its size.
A guarded luggage room was made available when we were there which is very convenient.

The city centre is within walking distance after a very nice walk along the cliffs.

All in all, I'll go there with pleasure again, for work.

We stayed at the Melia Sitges at the end of our stay in Spain/Portugal. The hotel is not on the ocean, but our room did still have a view of the marina/ocean which was nice. The bathroom was large and the shower was great. We also had a nice patio that got great sun. The pool area is not as grand as the pictures made it out to seem and the restaurant overlooks the area and there's no clear way to enter the pool area which is a little confusing. However, I don't think there are any other resorts within walking distance of Sitges that offer a pool.

We had lunch and dinner in the restaurant and the service was great. We appreciated the free little appetizer they brought out. We also purchased the "pay ahead" rate that included breakfast, which seemed like a good deal. We were there during the week and there were mostly the same things out every day, but maybe there is more variety during the weekends. That said, breakfast is huge!

It's about a 10 or 15 minute walk to downtown Sitges, which was fine. There's also a closer beach very nearby (it's a nude beach which we nicknamed "Dong Beach") and there's a couple little restaurants/bars right on the beach.

Our main qualm is that the fitness center and large hot tub are not included in the rate. We were told it costs 7 euros per person per day. So, we didn't use the facilities, which was disappointing.

Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it if you would like a pool to lounge by, a nearby beach, and a bit of a walk downtown.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the sea.

Dear Jessica G,

We take good note of your comments concerning breakfast in order to improve our hotel. However, for those who have not visited us yet, I would like to mention that our clients can enjoy more than 100 different products every day.
I would like to use this opportunity too to mention that fitness entrance fee entitles to use fitness area, indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna apart from the possibility of joining the classes that are given by professional instructors.

Best regards,

Miguel Ferreres
