A good example of a hotel which appears online to be luxurious and comfortable, but in reality is just a large concrete chicken coop whacked up during the construction boom and now struggling to survive in tougher ecomomic times. Ok for a conference for 500 people, but truly grim as a holiday or weekend destination.

Sparse, frigid service at reception, a dirty, badly run lunch-time bistro (terrible food we ate there), soulless bedrooms and cheap soft furnishings - they have clearly run out of money and are just going through the motions. After our crap lunch, we returned miserably to our room to watch a movie, only to discover that the movie system did not work (and could not be fixed....).

The facilites are fine, but it's an enormous maize of a place with corridors and lifts taking you off to nowhere. It would take an established, popular brand like Ritz Carlton could turn this monster round in its current format.

Or someone like NH should take it over, drop a star or two and knock 100 euros off the room rates.

Room Tip: go to another hotel

My husband and I arrived here after spending a stressful week in Barcelona. This hotel is the place to come to get away from the city and relax. It's quiet, staff is friendly, rooms are comfortable (I especially loved the bedding), the gym is well equipped and the food is very good. The buffets are splendid and the BLT is the best you'll ever have but be prepared to pay for it. It's on the over priced side. But I guess it's a trade off for the not so expensive per night stay. We stayed in a room on the East side of the building facing the Med. There is a train the runs along the coast just below the golf course and we can hear from our room, it's not too loud and stops by about 11 or 12 at night, it's tolerable. Check in was fast and we did get a free room upgrade upon arrival. We spent the day at the pool and it was extremely relaxing, with the exception of the loud couple that arrived toward the end of the day. I wonder if people think that if no one else understands what they are saying it ok to be loud? Everyone else is extremely respectful and quiet as its pretty obvious people are here for relaxation. This is not the place to come to party so don't book a room here expecting to get drunk and boisterous.

Room Tip: It seems as though all rooms have a nice view. However there are a few near the end of the hall and the exterior exits that could present an issue.

I was here for a conference, and the location is very nice on top of a hill, overlooking some golf course and the Mediterranean.

Swimming pools are nice, food is great, and conference rooms had big window with open atmosphere.

I wish I was there for a holiday, and with perfect weather!

Room Tip: Rooms on the sea side. Although the pool side doesn't look too bad either.

I am currently staying at this hotel with my husband and overall, it is a nice hotel:
Good points:
The hotel is stylish, clean and comfortable, overlooking a beautiful golf course.
The location is good, if you have a car.
The reception staff, cleaners and porters are professional and courteous.
Bad points:
The staff in the cafe are terrible: They do not listen to what you ask for and are unsympathetic when you tell them it's not what you asked for. The cafe itself sells sub-standard food for a 5-star hotel and is over-priced for what it serves. I had a burger (with chips & salad) and it wasn't even cooked through. It also had sweet greasy onions in it, when I'd only asked for cheese and the salad had a sweet dressing all over it. For a 5-star hotel, they should put the dressing on the side or ask you if you want any in the first place. The man asked my husband a personal question about my looks before I arrived, making me feel uncomfortable on arrival. It was sexist so-called 'friendly banter' which I do not appreciate...Again, not what you expect from a 5-star establishment.
On reflection, I would come back to the hotel if I wanted to visit Sitges again, but I would definitely not eat here.

Thank you for trusting Dolce Sitges for your stay and for reflecting in Tripadvisor your feelings around your experience as our Guest: we are happy to read your comments honouring Dolce Sitges and your positive remarks related to the location, the cleanliness and comfort of our hotel and your notes on our Front Desk, Housekeeping and Bellmen Associates.
On the other hand, we are very sorry about your experience at our ddb Dolce Deli Bar: the coffee we serve is from a well appreciated brand as well as the burger meat and, following your note, both can be improved through dedicated efforts and touch from our Associates there; but most importantly, what can really be improved, again following your comment, should be the behaviour of the Associate who served your table: we are extremely sorry for it! We have spoken to our Service Team in order to let them know your feelings and thinking and avoiding future situations like the one you suffered.
Again, we thank you for your visit and for sharing your comments with other future visitors and we look forward to having the opportunity of welcoming you very soon again at Dolce Sitges.

My wife and I stayed here at the end of August for 3 nights having spent a week further down the coast with our grown up children (flew them home after a week so the two of us could have some quiet time together) and in this respect the Dolce fitted the bill precisely.
The staff were great and extremely courteous; car parking (valet or otherwise) was free, the pools very clean and well attended, our room was very comfortable, good balcony and quality mattresses and bedding; we had a sea view room with therefore quite a walk from the main lobby.
This is quite a cosmopolitan hotel so you pay up accordingly and it therefore slightly lacks an element of 'local feel' : frankly if you stay in the hotel you might as well be in Santiago, San Francisco or Shanghai, but if that's what you want then fine. However saying that the bar does 2 decent size glasses of delicious dry white wine (local) for about EUR 9, so you can gauge accordingly.
We went into Sitges (attractive old town) 2 nights out of three and ate very well (from Tripadvisor recommended restaurants), and one night doing the hotel barbeque which was delicious but fairly expensive at EUR40 per person + vino.
Excellent buffet breakfast (included in our room rate which was about EUR200 per night). We rarely bother with lunch in warm climates so we 'pre-loaded' here.
It's an east drive or train to Barcelona so great if you want to see Barcelona without having to stay in a Big City (that's us).
Slight word of warning for the more strait laced - it's well advertised generally that Sitges is one of the gay capitals of Europe. So be aware in case you have 'issues with that sort of thing.
I can't comment on the beaches as we didn't use them (the hotel runs a shuttle bus to and from the beach at the southern end of town). Can't comment on the spa either.
Overall we really enjoyed ourselves.
