La Nina Hotel

The location, right on the front was perfect for the beach and lively nightlife literally around the corner.

The rooftop pool with its view over Sitges is a definite novelty but it didn't seem much used when I was there

The hotel is remarkable peaceful day and night considering I was there on a very noisy week with thousands on the streets every night. I was not disturbed at all.

The buffet breakfast was good and available for a whole 4 hours from 7am-11am.

I had a room at the back without a sea view. It had a balcony, king-size bed, safe and air-con and was kept perfectly clean. There was a TV but I never even turned it on. You also get free wifi in your room - it was fast and reliable. It went down once but reception knew how to reboot the routers.

We had already checked into a neighbouring hotel but noticed La Nina when we were walking along the beach because balconies were exactly what we had been searching for. We had a bad experience the other hotel when we checked in so I came nextdoor to La Nina to see had any availability for the 2 nights we needed and turned out that it did. The desk staff was very accomodating and helpful in dealing with our last minute arrival and even brought me up to the room to let me see it before committing to anything. Luck was on our side and the exact room that we had noticed from beach was the one that was available. Slightly more expensive than our other hotel but much much nicer and it included breatfast so decision was easy

We checked out of the other hotel (after checking in an hour earlier) and could not have been happier with our new accomodation. Rooms were big, clean and modern. The location is spectacular right in the middle of Sitges overlooking the beach, and most importantly the balcony on our room was perfect. We enjoyed many glasses of rioja and cigars at sunset in our short time there.

We thought that the breakfast which was included was excellent and very good value. Great way to start a day on the beach. You can rent mountain bikes there and the rooftop balcony is great but our time was spent on the beach. Not sure how we missed this in our research for accomodation in Sitges but we would go back in a heartbeat on our next trip.

We had a great room , fantastic view , clean and airy BUT the staff do not engage in anyway with the clients, the breakfast was very poor not even up to B&B standard. If you want to stay there for the location fair enough but you wil be paying 4 star prices for a 3 star hotel with 0 star services

I have visited Sitges every year since 1998 but the first time at La Nina. And the last. Its not a 4 star hotel. I don't know where to begin....We have booked a superior room w balcony and sea view. When we arrived we got a standard room without balcony. The explanation was that someone had made a mistake but that we should now that since we had booked so early we actually pay less for a superior room than a standard room! IS THAT OUR PROBLEM? We stayed for twelve days and the list is long. Small breakfast and often everything was finito. The girst mormong the egg, bread, juice was out and the coffee machine broken. The beds terrible, the towels made you all white when used. But maybe what's worst is the staff. As a guest uou dont exist. The staff in the reception never look at you, never say hello. Not a welcome when we arrived etc. What culture dors La Nina want to have? For what you pay they shouöd at least treat you well and nicely.

It is such a shame that la Nina don't read and act on some of these reviews. Have been visiting since it opened. The location cannot be beaten. Roof top pool is a real boon. However this trip there were just many issues that we had to raise - not hassle you really need on a holiday. Air con in room not working properly. Intermittent tv and wifi problems. Pool not kept clean. To add to all of these what might seem minor problems we also had building work going on. Not exactly restful at siesta time. Also reception staff don't seem to want to welcome or speak to guests. Hotel used to be really great, hope it can be again if these issues are attended to.

This hotel is really nice and as it is on the seafront it is in a great location for drinks and the beach. I had a really good stay with a friend here for the last 7 days. The rooms are very clean and spacious and at no point did i feel like we were clambering over each other. Plenty of storage space and a good size bathroom.

The room lacked a bit of 'character' but thats the aim they have gone for rather than each room being individual however, i think a few pictures would have been a nice touch as without them it did seem a little sterile.

La Nina does need a shake up though and i am sad to say i agree with some of the comments on here already. I have much friendlier welcomes at much cheaper hotels and the breakfast is nothing special. In a nutshell they could learn a lot from how El Cid hotel is run. Warm welcome every time you walk back in, a huge ranged breakfast that is served til 12 etc.

La Nina could be absolutely amazing but the owners / management needs to look at the comments on here, have a sit down and see what they can take away and improve...start with the welcome, it would cost nothing for the man / woman on reception to smile and say hello when you walk in.

On a positive note the cleaning and the efficiency of the hotel is good. We had no problems with cleanliness or bathroom supplies etc.

La Nina, dont rely just on your location to pull in the customers...make it a memorable first class experience. Marry excellent service to your excellent and beautifully located hotel and you will be fully booked for years.

Room Tip: Check if gay pride is on! The stage is on the seafront and goes on til about 1 a.m. and it is loud...
