This hotel is in a great location on the rambla nova close to the old town and near to lots of cafes. We stayed in a refurbished room but the furniture still seemed a little tired. The mattress was new but very firm not good if you have back problems! The hotel staff are all very pleasant and helpful. As long as you don't mind a hard bed this is a good choice for a reasonably priced hotel in the centre of Tarragona

This Hotel has a wonderful location, at the very end of the Rambla Nova, near the Mediterranean Balcony. The rooms are nice, but need some renovation. The staff is very friendly and nice. It's a good choice for your stay in beautiful Tarragona.

I stayed there for 5 day's business in the port. Hotel is good value for money, Location on the Rambla is perfect and there are many treasures of restaurants and places to have a nice drink nearby. nice people at the reception and what suprised me was the breakfast which is very complete and even until 11.00 o,clock.

Room Tip: Have mentioned that it would be fine to have also BBC and or CNN on the tv

I chose the Hotel Lauria because of its location on the Rambla, it is right in the middle of everything you would want to visit, bit of a trek down to the beach but certainly the right choice if you want to central. The rooms were typical 3 star and the the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The continental breakfast was good value with more than enough to start your day. As said by others, the walls appear to be a little thin and I also heard people snoring in the next room as I am a light sleeper. Do take time to explore this lovely city, the train is so easy to pop up to Barcelona and the station is a short 10 min walk from the hotel.

To put it nicely, retro. To put it not so nicely, dusty and uncomfortable. Walls made of paper hence noisy. Location is great (right along the rambla and near the old town) and parking is well organized. Breakfast was ok.

Dear Hanna K,

Thanks a lot for your time and your comments. We work daily hard to get the best for our guests. In your comments you say that our hotel is retro, maybe it's right because it was built in 1953 and it's one of the oldest hotels of the city that nowadays you can find working. I suppose that we've to do something right if the Hotel has 50 years old and continue working properly.

I know that we've some room "retro" but we're working to renovate the hotel and in these moments we've 30 renovated rooms, the breakfast saloon and meeting rooms, if you visit our website you'll see that the style is so different.

As I said you before we're working to renovate our hotel completely but it's expensive and hard. We also have renovated things that maybe you can't see but it's important for your stay in a hotel as the Wi-Fi system, the boil room, Informatic systems...

I invite you to visit again our hotel and our city and you can do it in a renovated rooms, I'm sure that you'll enjoy your holidays.

Regards,

Eloy Capdevila Vicnete

the location was great, about a 15min walk to anywhere that you want to go in this town (ruins, cathedrals, restaurants). Also close to the tourist train that takes you around and shows you the sights. service was non-existant, the staff were pleasant when checking us in/out but were difficult to find to ask questions at any other time.

Dear Ms Yulia T,

Thanks a lot to share your comments about Tarragona and our hotel. As you say in your comment our situation is wonderful to visit the city, maybe we're the hotel with the best location to visit our city.

About your difficults to receive informations, I supose that you're speaking about the Tourist Train because our front Desk staff is working the 24 hours and all their are from Tarragona city then, they know all the information that the tourist people can need during his stay.

I know that now is so late but now exist in Tarragona a service to visit the city very original, visit the city with a small electric car. It works with a GPS that drive you for the touristic route and the GPS is going to explain you everthing, you can choose the language that you need. Now you can find more information or contrat a pack of Hotel+Electric Car Guided in our website.

I hope so see again in the future if you decide to visit us again, I know that Australia is so far but...

I go there over a ween end 's friends trip. We take a bedroom with 2 single beds,.
The room was really noisy we could hear both our neigbourgh snoring and the salsa bar !

We request a see view, Yes we had it if from the balcony you push yourself over the barrier and turn your head on the left !!!!!

The bathroom is really basic and doesn't offer any extra (even shampoo) and the bedroom get some REALLY basic sheets.

For the breakfast be really carefull as they try to charge us (we book a room with breakfast included), don't be late ever if you want to have choice.

The pool is really tiny and in shadow most of the time, consequently really cold !

The location is great for the center and there is many bar and restaurant on the street but it is a bit far from the historic center and a long walk will be requested if you want a nice beach and not the train'rear one !

This hotel is not the perfect one for a lovely stay but an adverage and value one for a short stay with friends!

Dear Aurore_French,

Thanks a lot for the time used to write your comments, we're going to take care about it to get increase the satisfaction of our guests.

About the question of the bath I just would like to inform you that you booked and standard room in a three stars hotel, then as you say, the bath don't offer any extras just a full private bathroom with hairdryer and gel/shampoo for the shower and soap for the bath, I'm not sure which kind of extra you expected in the bathroom, sorry.

About the question of the sheets I'm glad to inform you that this last November we've changed all the bedclothes from the hotel for a new ones 100% cotton. We also have renovated all the towels.

About the swimming-pool I just can tell you that it's a free service that the hotel offers for the guests without any charge. We know that it isn't very big swimming-pool but it's enough for the guests who are visiting our city and the arrive here tired and so warm, the objective of the swimming-pool is just offer a quiet place to refresh yourself or take sun a little bit in calm.

Just to finish, I also would like to mention that we have executive rooms that are refurnished during the last years with a big beds, a new bathrooms and sea or swimming-pool views. Then, if you mix this kind of rooms and our situation in Tarragona I'm sure that you'll get a lovely stay in Tarragona.

Best regards,
