Very nice room&bathroom, corteous staff, gym, free wi-fi in the bar, parking, location
Perhaps, I'd prefer some less continental breakfast (I am Polish) but hey, you are in Catalonia after all :), ah, and the gym training machine didn't work so perfect :)

Overall very good place to stay in Tarragona

Whenever in Spain, I try to stay with AC Hotels. This group has a reasonably priced formula of consistent high quality, avante garde properties targeted to business travelers but also perfect for leisure stays. Tarragona property has convenient access from major highways and is also within walking distance of town center and sights. On-site parking and breakfast buffet also reasonably priced. Limited menu room service and restaurant. Very helpful and courteous, efficient staff.

First of all, this is supposed to be a four-star hotel, but due to some design errors, it is more like a three-star. For a start, the door separating the en-suite bathroom from the room is made of glass and does not lock. It also has a recognizable gap between the frame and the door, meaning that there is no privacy for anyone using the bathroom. Even loving couples need privacy sometimes. Secondly, the corridors of the hotel are like saunas. Apparently, it is like this all year round due to a design fault in the heating system. The people at the reception told us that this cannot be changed. When you step out of the lift to your room, you are hit by stifling hot, stale air. In general, though, the hotel is very clean and very modern ... even if it is not really worth the price for a night. As mentioned earlier, it does not really deserve its four-star rating, but it is clear to see why it was given such a rating: nice marble decor throughout, classy reception area with seating, etc. A very big plus point is that the contents of the mini bar in the rooms (soft drinks and water) are free and replenished daily. This is virtually unheard of in most hotels. Unfortunately, the TV channels are ridiculous, but if you are going to spend the night in Tarragona, you probably won't want to watch much TV anyway. The hotel is located about 25 mins walk from the sea and the old town, but there is a bus nearby. All in all, a decent, clean hotel with a friendly reception. The glass door to the bathroom was a real pain, though - an odd phenomenon that you will find in all AC Hotels in Spain. Finally, expect to pay 11 Euros a night for the secure underground parking - something that the hotel should really provide for free in the center of a large city. Wifi access is free only in the lobby and costs a minimum of 6.50 Euros (via Telefonica card) if you want temporary access in your room.

Tarragona was a blast. The ruins are spectacular, the restaurants are wonderful, and the port is quite nice. The hotel is outside of the "old" city, which is either a plus or a minus. but we like to walk so it was perfect for us. My boyfriend is 6'4, so the king size (not double) comfy beds were very much appreciated. The staff all spoke great english and were quite helpful.

Spent a few nights at the AC Hotel Tarragona, booked it after the positive reviews on tripadvisor. I wasn't disappointed! The rooms, were nice, clean and the free mineral water and soft drinks in the minibar were really a nice touch in the afternoons. Housekeeping was efficient. The front desk most helpful and friendly: we were actually provided with a small complimentary breakfast opportunity (coffee, juice and croissants) on the occasion of having to leave the hotel prior to breakfast time. The full breakfast, although not included in the room price, left nothing to be desired - great coffee, fresh juice, fruits, cuts, cheese, pastries and bread. The general location of the hotel, although urban and not-too eye-appealing, was safe and clean. The rooms lack a personal safe, but I did not feel worried any moment. The rooms on the side of the avenue suffer from some traffic noise.

Have just stayed five nights here, very close to bus station and shopping mall, but a bit out for the old town and seafront. check in very good, room excellent, had sofa and coffee table, huge bed (I think we must have been upgraded judging by other peoples remarks!!) mini bar nice touch, a safe would have been appreciated in a hotel of this standard, cold buffet breakfast was fine, although a bit pricey at 12E. I agreed with another comment, very difficult to find any restaurants locally and ALL were shut till 8-8.30 when they reopened, but we found it a bit late to eat, time you finished it was gone 10. (beware most menu's are not in English) otherwise we enjoyed the city and the hotel, although the room rates seem to vary enormously from day to day.

Stayed here for one night after getting a flight into Reus with Ryanair. Its reasonably central, you can get into the mix in 10-15 mins walk, and the rooms were clean and well equipped. Free mini-bar is a nice touch. If you're parking, don't take a stretch limo......its tight!..so tight they've put foam on the walls!
