We picked up this hotel because we have been there before and has the best views in La Coruña including wonderful and long sunsets. That has not changed and keep on having the same opinion and probably will come back again just for the view. The hotel has "relaxed" from the service level perspective. The two people at the reception desk were not of the profile and caliber of what you normally find at Melia hotels ( I am a frequent user of this chain) . They did the basics, kept us waiting while dealing two of them with the same customer and in the three days we were there, did not did anything beyond the "per the book" duties. The room was large, clean and OK. Same the bathroom, eveything worked, including the WIFI. Parking was convenient but expensive, even with the Melia Card and breakfast was good although the restaurant was cold and unappealing. Actually it is a pity as a more cosy and comfortable restaurant will make a difference with the same food. Now you just want to finish and run away. As said, I will come back to this hotel as it has the best view in town, but they should not " relax" if they want to keep on having as many customers as they do now. Service is all!

Friendly staff, quiet atmosphere and great value for money,
I stayed there twice, both times where on week days so I'd expect the prices to be higher on the weekend.

The hotel is large and right on the seafront and within trolling distance to numerous restaurants.

Strategically located overlooking the bay, it offers great views and glorious sunsetting experiences to all those staying in rooms facing the sea. Close to an area where you can find many restaurants and bars, it makes it easy to manage your stay. One should not miss the interesting historic and touristic spots in town, most of them within walking distance from the hotel.
This having not been our first stay at this hotel, it must be said in honesty that we found rooms have been somewhat neglected since our first stay. The shower needed repair, the hairdryer was not working and beds were not very comfortable, although they were of generous size. Room and bathroom areas are very good, as well as the general organisation of furniture and facilities. Amenities offered have been downgraded, possibly for the benefit of sustainability.
On the other hand, social areas are very good and make it adequate for business meetings, congresses and other such events.Underground parking area makes one's stay easier and very comfortable.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and do their best to make your stay a pleasant one.
Breakfast is absolutely GREAT, offering wide choice and high quality.
Except for the minor above mentioned flaws (which can be easily fixed), it is still a very good hotel to which we will return whenever we travel to La Coruña and which we have no hesitation in recommending.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms overlooking the bay. GREAT views!

Estimado cliente:

Right across the street from the beach and an easy walk to important tourist spots. There are numerous bars and restaurants a short block away. Our triple room was very clean and the bathroom was very large. The bed was extremely comfortable. Kim at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Underground parking is available for 20 euro a day. (Very tight/small parking spots.) We were so lucky that the Fiesta de San Juan was right across the street on the beach! I got a great rate on booking.com. I wish I could find hotels at this price and caliber in the US.

The hotel looks better in reality than on the pictures. Staff was extremely friendly. The location is great because it is at a bay. You can walk downtown. We had a great room on the last floor with a great view.

I had a superior room with view over the beach and it was worth every penny. The sun entered the big window in the afternoon and it was a pleasure to sit in the sun looking at all people passing by, and have a chilled beer at the same time. Clean and good bed with high Standard of everything. The breakfast was perfect with good balance of everything. I can highly recommend this hotel with welcoming staff and perfect location.
