To reach the Torre you have to walk a little bit, but the view is beautiful.

During our trip to Santiago we rented a car to go to Lugo and A Coruna. Both sites were interesting. However, our children loved the tower, due to the wonderful rocks and ocean surrounding the tower. The tower has been restored and is no longer what you would think as a Roman ruin, but it is still very fun to climb (stairs only). Strollers may be left at the bottom entrance, but no elevator service is available. The lighthouse actually functions and is nice to see in the evening. Picnics are recommended. The parking and bathroom facilities are clean and easy to access. The downtown area of A Coruna is also worth visiting especial the plaza of Maria Pita and the crystal waterfront buildings. I also recommend eating in the plaza.

Take the maritime walk from the hotel to the tower of hercules. You can actually walk around the entire city using this walk.
