“Enjoyable”
Reviewed 30 May 2013

We visited this restaurant last year on our visit to Santiago and the food was terrific. This year it seems like there's new owners. The food is almost as good and the service is improving every day. Our views of this small but delicious restaurant remain positive.

“So good we went there twice!”
Reviewed 9 September 2012

I recently spent 2 nights in Santiago de Compostela and visited this restaurant after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced, but the star of both meals was our Venezuelan waitress. Cannot praise her enough; very friendly and helpful with excellent English. Would definitely recommend a visit to this fabulous restaurant.

“nice lunch in Santiago”
Reviewed 27 August 2012

We had a very nice and cheap luch in Santiago. The lunch menu was around 10 euros and that included first course (watermelon gazpacho) main course (bacalao a pretty big portion of it) and dessert. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the waitress (owner?) was very nice.
I will recommend it to anybody wanting a nice lunch in a pleasant setting.

“Wow, what a great place.”
Reviewed 17 August 2012

I went he with a vegan friend and had a great experience. Three times :-). While the vegan options weren't huge, they do fully understand the concept, which is more than most places in Santiago, and they are happy to make changes and accommodate you. Super friendly staff and the non-vegan food I ate was delicious. The menu del dia was always good value and they have an attention to detail with subtle flavours that isn't always there with some Spanish restaurants. Very nice atmosphere too :-)

“Probably overrated...”
Reviewed 9 August 2012

This little restaurant is nice and unexpensive and it serves a decent food that is not the average raciones that you can find anywhere else in Galicia. However it does not deserve to be on the top of the list of the restaurant in Santiago.

First because the fact that is is different and cheap does not make it a first class experience.

The starter (noodle with mayonnaise) was scary...

The cold zuchinni soup had too much salt (and was offerred thank you), the main dish (vegetables tempura) was good (you will find it hard to eat vegetables in Galicia) and the desert lists was not appealing. And if you do not go for the menu of the day (for lunch or dinner), then the prices are very high for what you get.

There are other restaurants in Santiago that deserve a visit (Casa Marcelo, Pedro Roca). Yes, they are a bit more expensive but the experience is really first class. It really depends on what you are looking for...
