This apartment is in one of the most beautiful streets in Santiago with easy access to the cathedral and other churches, restaurants and the Abastos Market. It is round the corner from the Tourist Information Centre in Rua di Vilar whether they provide an excellent map of the city. A few yards away from the apartment is La Tita where you are given a wonderful tortilla potato tapas with any drink you buy. We arrived late on Saturday evening, but were still provided with the tapas to go with a glass of wine. On several mornings we had their tapas to go with our coffee.
The only caveat about the apartment arises from the fact that the people of Santiago keep even later hours than in Madrid and walk the streets chatting , even after restaurants are shut. This wasn't a problem for us, but if you are a very light sleeper it might be!
I stayed with my husband in this lovely apartment for almost a week. We felt home right away. You couldn't find a place more central in the beautiful old town of Santiago de Compostela. Great Restaurants and Cafes are just around the corner and the food is spectacular. The apartment has everything you can wish for - after sight seeing all day long we loved to relax at the apartment, on the sofa or sitting around the spacious kitchen table eating some yummy tapas. We will be happy to come back!
