Nice location! But inside the room could be better. Not bad because the hotel it is close to downtown! I would recommend to a friend but it is very simple place. And it serves breakfast and lunch as well!

The owner should out a sign "you're not welcome"....that's how they treated me. The walls are paper thin...you hear everything and everybody...neighbors,
elevators.....
Old hard mattresses and thin sheets.

The location is the ONLY positive.

I had a lot of problems finding a hotel in Vigo so I wonder if the prices were artificially inflated on the days I visited. Even so I spent more here - over 100 Euros a night - than I did at the nice Hesperia Finisterre in La Coruna. It might have been just about acceptable at half that rate.

The room was supposed to be a double but if I'd been with somebody I doubt we would have fit in the tiny bed. The room was very small as well with no space to swing the proverbial el gato. It was basically clean but the furnishing and decor had seen better days.

The bathroom was the smallest I've used. Minimal amenities (those little packets of shampoo and soap are useless) and a very poor shower.

Although the noise from the street was minimal the walls were very thin so if you don’t have earplugs expect a sleepiness night if you have neighbours who snore or like doing the nasty at ever opportunity.

Quite often there was no one at the front desk when I returned to the hotel which is not ideal if you want somewhere reasonably secure.

The hotel’s location though is pretty good being close to the old town and with lots of bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood.

I liked Vigo. As in most cities in Spain there are plenty of bars and restaurants and you get a free tapita with your drink. Like the hotel and their football team, though, I felt the city had seen better days - there were a number tourist advice booths dotted around which had obviously been closed for a while.

The Calle de las Ostras that features in all the guidebooks was pleasant enough albeit quite touristy. I did expect there to be more seafood places in one of the worlds largest fishing ports but maybe a lot of stuff ends up being processed or freighted elsewhere.

The hike up the hill to El Castro-Restos de le Fortaleza is well worth doing for the fantastic views.
