“Great Little Place - Free Tapas!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2014

One of the few place that still offers free generous sized tapas in Madrid (we got potatoes with egg and ham).

Great area surrounded by taverns and little restaurants.
The food was good, the staff friendly, the value excellent!

A real local experience!

“Lovely ambiance, good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014 via mobile

We visited Malaspina on our last day in Madrid to have lunch. It is nicely decorated and full of locals. We ordered tabla de tapas, which was good and reasonably priced, and the friendly waitress talked us into having desert afterwards. The (homemade) chocolate cake is highly recommended, but be careful: it fills! (But it's very good, so order it anyway.)
Afterwards we received a glass of local spirits to improve digestion; I recommend taking 'the red one'.

Good food, good prices, friendly staff; would recommend, would come back again.

“Great service, great value food - must visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

Last week, I visited here with my close friend. We ordered a bottle of sangria, fried squid and tapas sampler all of which taste good. I enjoyed the sangria in particular.
Also there was a really great hostess who served the food to us. She was not only very kind and generous, but also tried to help us to choose wine by giving free testing chances. I can say we enjoyed the whole experience there- it was one of the memorable moments during my stay in Madrid.

“Quick Lunch Spanish Style”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014

Just off the plaza mayor and Sol in the heart of Madrid, you will find many little bar/restaurants like this. old style building, sitting on wooden blocks/chairs, small table, small restaurant little table and a place where you just have to share the plates of food.
this is what you have to experience and this little bar/restaurant gives you all the regular tapas in a welcominig atmosphere and with good solid food. Just walk in, sit down, look at the menu, take 3 or 4 picks and enjoy yourself for the next 60 to 90 minutes. Vino tinto to go with it and you are pretty much done. Nice relaxed, no worries and just enjoy.
service was good, nothing out of the ordinary nothing to complain about either.Fresh food, nice place, good atmosphere. Good place to try if you are in town and hungry.

“Good value foods”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 July 2014 via mobile

We had lunch at this restaurant. It only costs about 30 Euro including drinks for 2 adults and two children. It is a small restaurant but the service was excellent. We found better foods at 2 other restaurants in Madrid. However the cost is around 50 to 60 Euro.
