Booked a table for 4 and sat on a nice table.
Decor was interesting, unique, and the food was really tasty.
Food cute and bitesize and all was really delish. We enjoyed our time in 47 Ronin, my first restaurant once I arrived with my friends to Madrid.
I totally recommend this place for Japanese food lovers.

Well... the presentation is great but the dishes don’t really deliver the goods. Too many flavors that don’t really mixed together. When the price is of at least a 1 Star Michelin restaurant the expectation are high. So if you want so spend a min of 100 per person there are few places who will deliver much better value for money in Madrid.

Dear Danshe,
Thank you for sharing your opinion with us.
We are sad to read that you did not enjoy the effort, products and passion that our team invest on our Menu dishes.
We would like to clarify that our Tasting Menu price is 88€ (Tax & water included), quite affordable for the product we offer within the tasting Manu (king crab or red tuna, French oysters, sole, squid, japanese scallops, black truffle; sea urchin...). Also, eating "a la carte" can be enjoyed per 65€/per person.

Hope you can enjoy our Menu in the future and that it become more of your preference.

Best wishes,

We arrived at 8:30pm and had a table on the ground floor, which was ideally placed to watch final touches to the dishes. We started with a glass of sake each. We chose the tasting menu with flight of wines. There is no menu for this as they use the best ingredients that are in season. Each course was amazing. It is Japanese with a Spanish twist. We had four incredibly artistic and flavoursome snacks to start, and then the menu started. Wow......mussels, scallops, eel, squid, sole, dessert of coconut clouds, petit fours and the wine pairings were superb, the flavours out of this world and I found it to be refreshing, light but after all the courses I was very full. Each course was well explained by our waiter Sergio and he was superb and a credit to the restaurant.
The restaurant opened at 8:30pm and closed at 11:30pm and we were there the entire time.
My husband said “ this is the sort of restaurant that makes you want to move country”, so that shows how amazing the menu was.
The only disappointment was that the person taking payment using our UK credit card insisted we paid in pounds, whereas everywhere we travel around the world we pay in the local currency as we did at Nubel and all the other restaurants and shops in Madrid. I left annoyed after having had such a superb evening.
