This is a modern 30 floor hotel, 15 min from the airport. You will need to get a taxi or the metro to get to the city centre. The hotel is fairly new and the design is largely excellent. Sometimes some of the facilities are not intuitive on how they should be used. When considering the hi-tech nature of this hotel I expected more from the TV system which has very limited English coverage. Internet is free throughout the hotel.
Although I would happily stay here again, if I was coming as a tourist I would try and find a more central hotel.

It took under 30 minutes from the airport by Metro to the nearby Begona station. As we walked towards the Hotel, fountains in a variety of colours cascaded in front of this landmark huge building. This hotel is as near to a five star american hotel as you can get. A choice of six lifts swiftly transport you to your room. The rooms are ultra modern. A control panel next to the bed adjusts the lighting to several settings and opens and closes the window blinds. A flat TV screen with countless TV channels available, underfloor heating in the bathroom, air conditioning, multi nozzle shower sytem all contribute to a thoroughly modern facility. Tribunal metro station is only 20 minutes away where one can visit numerous restaurants and bars and the Grand Via. We paid under 80 Euros for one night and it was absolutely excellent value for the money we paid

Stayed at the Eurostars Madrid Tower 30/10/11 - 1/11/11 on a city break. Arrived at hotel early so we were allocated a room on the 13th floor over-looking a construction site. Spoke to Xavier at reception who then found us a room on the 25th floor with a city view. This room was offered to us as a free upgrade.

The room was very spacious, and very contemporary. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a very nice touch. The combination of an electronically controlled black-out blind to the large window and a massive comfortable bed made getting up in the mornings very difficult.

We had complimentary chocolates delivered to our room because we had booked directly with the hotel via their website.

Had a problem with the hot water for the bath which was running luke warm, but upon reporting it to reception, the problem was promptly sorted out.

Slightly far out from the city centre but a great metro link did'nt make the location a problem. We would strongly recommend the Eurostars Madrid Tower. Certainly a 5 star hotel.

a) No 'Shuttle Bus' for the Airport. Taxi Fare to Barajas, Terminal #4 was approx.
30 Euros. This was double the cost of a Taxi to Plaza de Colon. Same distance.

b) Volvoreta Restaurant not opening until 8.30pm. Could benefit from an earlier
opening at say 7.00pm ; possibly losing foreign guests going out to eat
externally ?

c) Spa treatments ridicuously over priced, even by London Spa standards.

d) No 'Movie' Channel Service on offer.

The great points are .....

a) Excellent King Size Beds.

b) Good Basement Bar

c) Excellent service from ALL Staff

Room Tip: Rooms are located between the #7th to the #24th Floors ( I think ). South Facing Rooms will have a...

Stayed here on business - modern design, including the hallways where most hotels cut corners. The bathrooms are really cool, beds are comfortable, staff is professional. I would definitely stay here again, and I agree this is one of the best hotels in Madrid.

Stayed here for couple of nights on business. Located on Castellana in the centre of Madrid, a short cab ride but long walk from all the action around Plaza Mayor. On arrival, the front of the building was a sea of diplomatic cars, an instant sign of the type of people who stay in a place like this – purportedly the ‘beautiful’ people. Indeed, the contemporary surroundings in a huge, modern tower seemed to ooze wealth and status, good if you like that sort of thing. Check in was quick and efficient and I was in my room within 10 minutes on the 9th floor. Room is very spacious and cool looking, probably due to the ambient lighting and wooden floors. A separate shower (super high-tec with nozzles all over the place to ensure you drown comfortably), WC and bath made for a relaxing stay. Electric blinds and lighting which you can change to any setting with an array of bedside switches added to the luxury feel (the place is 5 stars) if a little daunting to non-technology types. Nevertheless, after a few practice turns of the various knobs, its easy to get the hang of. Room also included a safe and be warned, an expensive mini bar (aren’t they all?). Breakfast is included in the rate and was of high quality, ample choice of everything, plus a great view from the top floor (30th) restaurant. Bar downstairs one level below reception was very nice with a huge selection of cocktails and nice nibbles. Usual choice of bar food was always available, but I didn’t sample this. In summary, a nice place to stay. Ok location, good value for money, but the ultra contemporary feel may not be to everyone’s taste.
