This was my to go place and it was always so crowded that we went early or late as people from the group dropped off. The beer, wine, tapas are all excellent and its busy busy busy, you will find it hard to get a seat. But whenever in Madrid Ill be in here.

Friendly staff; busy with locals; tapas given with each drink (little sausages and bread sticks or jamon and bread sticks). Reasonable drink prices.

We had diinner here during a trip to Madrid. The restaurant is easy to find near the Peurta del Sol. There is a bar and a few tables. It was very busy, but we were early (for Madrid, about 7:30 PM) and were able to get a table. Within a half an hour , the restaurant was very busy.

The service was fast, attentive, and friendly. The food was fresh, and beautifully presented. (The salad of romaine, smoked salmon, smoked cod was particularly good). The wines were nice and fairly priced. We would happily go back there on a future trip.

Every year myself and my friends have a weekend away and this is the best bar, among 100's, we have visited. Staff were superb, although obviously we were only there for a short time they treated us as if we might be clients for years, tapas was wonderful and when we said we could eat no more they gave us shots. Fantastic piece of Madrid / Spain and an essential venue. When I go back to Madrid I will go back to La Soberbia.

This is a great little tapas bar which is almost a restaurant given it offers tables to sit at as well as the bar side experience. It is small, the decor rustic and like all good real Spanish tapas bars, very noisy when it is in full swing but isn't this what we are really wanting to experience whilst in Spain? The food is really good without being anything like fine dining and nor should it be trying to be. There is a wide range to choose from and several choices of the size of serves. After enjoying the complimentary welcoming tapas dish we shared a salad, one tapas dish and a serve of paella which together with a bottle of wine made for a very satisfying amount of food for the two of us. The salad was simple but very sharp and absolutely fresh, the paella excellent value for €7 and the white anchovies on toast - well they were divine. The service was great, the menu was in English and Spanish and the vibe brilliant and as for the cost - who can complain about €14 for the food. Loved it.
