Madsegs provided a thoroughly enjoyable experience and a great introduction to the sights of Madrid and segways. Like the site says, within 5-10 minutes most people will be comfortable using a segway.
There were 5 people in our tour group, which worked really well, and we saw a large portion of west side of the city including Royal Palace and its surrounding areas. The tour was roughly 4 hours long and definitely worth every penny, with regular stops at different scenic points that most tourists would miss.
The segways were started in basic mode, but everyone was on intermediate after 15 minutes. Near the end of the tour we were given the option of Advanced mode which made the segways handle much more responsively and travel up to 14mph.
Lunch and a beer (or soft drinks) were included in the price along with the photos from the day, which were to a very high quality. Anthony burns a CD for you if you don't have a USB stick.
For us, the main selling point for this tour over other, similar tours is that you weren't required to wear a helmet or the stupid high-visibility jackets that most other tours had in the city. They were available if you wanted them. Also the segways were kitted out with tyres that could handle off road terrain, so you could go on the grass and up/down stairs etc.
Madsegs is about 20 minute walk from plaza mayor, but if you're not familiar with the city, just do what we did and try to walk there get lost then hail a taxi. Easy.
Great day out for all the family
