We were sick and tired of all the bars of tapas, and wanted to eat in a restaurant in Madrid. We didn't have a restaurant guide, so we just walked until we found a place that caught our attention. From the street you can see only the wine shop and not the restaurant tables, but luckily we asked and ended up having dinner in Dominio de Antargu.
The service was very polite and efficient (I speak fluent Spanish so I don't know about their English skills). We had the whole menu from appetizers to the main course, dessert and coffee, and also tried a few of the great wines they sell in the wine shop. We were also able to buy a chunk of cheese from the restaurant. It was delicious so we wanted to take it home, too!
Nicely decorated, great prices. The food is very tasty but probably nothing extraordinary. It was the service and the atmosphere that made the difference. I would definitely go to this restaurant again when I'm visiting the area.
