This place is in a brilliant location within walking distance to all the major sights, subway and tourist bus. In Madrid if you can choose Gran Vía street will be better because you will have a lot of different places to visit on your hands. This building was a historic building and principal lift was amazing. Staff were very friendly. You can find a breakfast buffet for 5 euros on the other side of Gran Vía street. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped with bathroom and freezer.I am a regular visitor to Madrid and we will certainly stay here again. I would highly recommend stay here.

it was the first trip away for us as a couple so everything had to be perfect. Very convenient location because it is right in the middle of Madrid attractions. Walking distances to major interested points such us Plaza de Espana, templo Debob, Royal Palace, San Miguel, Major Plaza.
Room clean, quiet & confortable with good views from our window. The room was cleaned and we had clean towers everyday. When i ever return to Spain i will definitely stay here again.

Good location within 10 minutes walk to the pedestrian area and the touristy spots. It's located on the 6th floor of a very nondescript building but there is a very small, beautifully old, elevator. The owner was very helpful, friendly, energetic, eager to please. The rooms were very clean and good size for Europe. Charming but if you're looking for new, hip, trendy, this isn't the place. It's older but again, very clean and comfortable. It felt very safe and secure and noise from the outside wasn't a problem. Only noise was from other guests if they were noisy when coming home, but it wasn't a problem for me. Would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: The rooms didn't really have numbers but I think I was in room 2, 2nd door on left as you go into the left side. It had 2 twins and a full bath. No view. Good size room and bath. Small shower, but that's typical in Europe. The other room we had didn't have a number but it was on the right side from the entrance. Double bed with bath. Good size, small shower, nice view over trees.

Hospedaje Romero is an amazing place to stay in Madrid. It is within easy walking distance to many must see sights. Although located on the busy Gran Via, it is super quiet. The mother and son hosts go way out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. I will stay here every time I am in Madrid!

This is a great choice if you want a very handy location, sparkling clean room, and a super helpful and kind (mother and son) staff. I had stayed here two years ago, and found all of the things I loved in the past still present on this visit. At Hospedaje Romero, I feel like a local when I am here, and will choose this hostel every time in the future!
