This hotel shows well on the website, but upon arrival, it became very clear how deceiving they were. We booked the hotel through a third-party company called Agoda. When we checked in, however, they said that while they got confirmation via email, it wasn't in the system. Thus they didn't have a room for us. But they said it was our lucky day, because someone checked out early. They gave us the key and sent us to our room. When we got there, there was another couple in the room-- Luckily they were dressed!
After calling down, they walked us to our new room in a small corner of the hotel, between floors. It was big enough for a bed and nothing more. We were not okay with this, so they took us to a room, equally as small, but with no windows. Then they gave us the option to upgrade for another $20 to a crappier, but larger room. In the end, we settled on the closet of a room that was just big enough for a bed. After all, we aren't planning to spend all of our time in the room. So we went to the roof to enjoy the pool. Oops... There is an event today and the pool is closed. So much for this $300/night experience. You suck Agoda and Mercure!!!More
