I stayed at this hotel for one night during the week during a visit to Madrid with my daughter. We loved the location, where Puerto del Sol, Atorcha Station, the Prado, Thyssen are all within walking distance. The Hotel has been beautifully designed and our room, a Junior suite was a really good size room with very comfortable furnishings etc. Our bathroom was small but adequate and the bathroom fittings were of the highest quality. The reception staff were extremely helpful to book us restaurants and to help us find our way around the city. But sadly the only thing that let the Hotel down was the traffic noise that kept us awake until the early hours. The Hotel really needs some double or triple glazing I can't understand why the didn't install it in the refurbishment- perhaps it was a planning issue. Would recommend a room on one of the higher floors.

Room Tip: A highter floor would be a good idea to escape the traffic noise.

This hotel is PERFECTLY located, midway and easy walking distance, between the Prado area and the Royal Palace area. It is also adjacent to Plaza Santa Ana, with its many restaurants, and a few blocks from Plaza Mayor. The hotel was completely quiet, very comfortable, and the room was spacious and well-apppointed. Also, it is a good value relative to other similar hotels. I cannot think of a more ideal place to stay in Madrid

Location perfect. Central but still had a quiet sleep. Lovely rooms, great bed, shower. Lovely little Juliette balcony. Got a good rate for one night but when asking to stay an additional night they wanted to charge an extra 50 euros a night, so we left

Just back...
Pros - amazing location so close to Sol. Hotel has a fairly good tapas restaurant and bar with outdoor tables. Hotel is very new so it's in good condition. Lobby nice with helpful staff, very clean and good facilities. Had a superior room on 5th with wooden beams. Room immaculate and spacious.
Cons - sound insulation between rooms not as good as initially thought. Central Madrid hotel will always be a little noisey. Mojitos sold eveywhere in Spain but always sickly sweet and so was case with hotel restaurant!!!! Room with wooden beams very dark and I suspect a standard may have been preferable.
Madrid tips - careful a few pick-pockets, bus tour good and worth a two day pass, great museums and football stadium worth a trip.

This new NH Hotel is located in Madrid down town, very close to the main touristic locations (Museums, restaurants, plaza Major or Plaza del sol).
Staff is young but very kind and professional and we have been able to talk in English with them, receiving all the needed information.
The only negative aspect is related to Single rooms that are really small, not much space for clothes. Rooms on the street side and lower floor are noisy especially during the weekend and early in the morning.
