This wonderful boutique hotel is truly deserving 5 stars : absolutely flawless in every way ! The design of the hotel interior is impressive and stylish. NH Palacio de Tepa is a comfortable city centre hotel, in a great location for sightseeing and nightlife. Staff is really pleasant and very attentive. The hotel is spotless clean, everywhere ! Breakfast is a feast, never before seen such a great presentation of a breakfast. NH Palacio de Tepa offers free WiFi throughout the hotel, however one has to pay for using the computer in the business centre (€5 for 15 minutes). I had room 516 in the far end corner of the top floor, direct under the sloping roof with large beams. For tall people this feels a bit uncomfortable. Rooms are equipped with coffee- and tea making facilities, a safe, minibar and enough space to store your clothes. Bathroom is well equipped, no defects found, equipped with a rain-shower. The bathtub however is rather small. The hotel is in 50 meters from the lively Plaza Santa Anna, where one can find many tapas bars and restaurants. It is only 10 minutes walk to Plaza Mayor, and even less than 10 minutes to the Prado Museum and Retiro Park. All in all an excellent hotel.

Room Tip: Room 516 is in the far end corner of the top floor under a slooping roof with large beams and has on...

Having stayed here 3 times now I don't really understand some of the complaints... If you take a room on the 5th floor the rooms are spacious, well equipped for business travellers and very new, modern and clean. In fact for a business hotel it's extremely well appointed right down to the details of pillow choice, free wifi, great breakfast, gym great room service and really not expensive... I had a blissful nights sleep there on wednesday night and will undoubtedly return very soon...

A very friendly and helpful group of staff. Near a couple of train stations painless transition from airport to hotel. It took about 30 mins. Beautiful rooms and bathroom. Not the largest but more than adequate.

Room Tip: The windows and shutters block out nearly all the noice from the deceptivly noisy little street on t...

Loved this hotel and my room under the rooftops. It's just by Plaza Santa Ana, a few steps from PLaza Major and all the major old city sites. Rooms very modern and user friendly. Staff great. Highly recommend.

We were for New Year celebration in Madrid and stayed in this hotel. They placed us in the room as we preferred, on higher floor (to have less noise from the streets) and windows to face front side. Only thing is really bothered me, that the mattress was way too hard for my liking, actually first two night I could hardly sleep it felt like I am laying on planks of wood.
So I guess you may have a hard bed in B&B or in 5star hotel. I really didn't expect that.

Everything close by, Puerta Del Sol and Mayor square. Christmas market, lots of shops around. But I would say it is a bit "off area" for 5 star hotel. So it didn't really work to enjoy whole together experience. It was special "new year" treat for us, but if staying in 5 start hotel, I would prefer to be in area of Prado museum or Grand Via. Now I know.
Service and hotel staff's attitude was impeccable.

All in all Madrid fun city, but it rather party/shopping experience as it has no as much to offer as other European capitals like London, Paris, Rome. It has been also incredibly busy, busier than any other European capitals.

Room Tip: Higher floor so noise from the streets not so loud. The hotel stands by one main very busy street on...

A very nice hotel just off Santa Ana and close to lots of very nice restaurants and tapa bars. A great location especially when you are tired in the evening and do not want to take a taxi to have dinner. This hotel allows you to walk out and have a great selection of every type of food. The service was excellent -- very nice and helpful. The room impeccable and very comfortable. Definitely would go again. it is a bit pricey -- but no complaints. large bathroom, nice amenities, Nespresso coffee maker...

Room Tip: Superior rooms are larger and just under the roof -- high ceilings and spacious - Very, very nice...
