Just got back from Madrid and we really enjoyed our stay at the NH Palacio de Tepa. The rooms were very large by european standards and very trendy. There was free wifi which was a plus as well. The sheets on the bed were amazing. So soft.

The staff was super friendly and spoke great english. The location is very nice with a lot of local activity right outside the hotel. You can walk to the metro in about 5 min and pretty much get any where you like. There is also always taxis right outside the hotel.

Very clean and appealing hotel. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I stayed in this hotel in July 2012. The hotel is fantastic, and the position is amazing, very convenient if you want to walk around Madrid. The room was big and clean and the breakfast very good and there were lots of thing to choose from (even though a little expensive). The staff at the reception was kind and we had no problem at all. It is located in an ancient building which was beautifully refurbished. Plaza Santa Ana is very close and you can eat something there, or in many of the streets around the hotel.
I would suggest this hotel to anyone who want to visit Madrid.

This hotel was a great base for our Madrid trip. Central to everywhere, nothing seemed more than 15 minutes walk away. The rooms were beautifully decorated and ver comfortable. We were oven attic rooms which were lovelyut alas no view.

The breakfast was very nice ut quite expensive. If your breakfast is not included In the room rate, make sure you ring & book the night before because you get a discount!

The Internet was free and fast. Staff were friendly and helpful and the whole hotel smelled divine due to the Bulgari amenities.

Wrapping up a 2 week European tour and wanted a nice place in the city center. The NH Placio de Tepa did not disappoint. A ~34 Euro cab ride from the airport took less than 1/2 hour. The hotel is in an old building but is completely renovated. Room is large (very large by European standards) and quite nice. Easy walking distance to all the center city attractions. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And yes, the bath towels are the largest known to mankind.

The hotel is an old building which has been very recently modernised and upgraded.
A warm welcome from reception with a quick check in. Shown to our rooms and given a guide on how the windows, blinds, air conditioning operate.
The rooms were superb, beautiful wooden sloping ceilings with velux window. The bathroom was also a very high standard and very modern.
The staff couldn't be more helpful, even allowing me to have breakfast early as I was checking out earlier than the stated breakfast times. The food was also of a very high standard.

The location is perfect, right in the middle of Madrid and right amongst the tapas bars, etc.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: If you can, go for one of the roof rooms, they are superb.

The Palacio de Tepa in Madrid is a gem of a hotel - fairly central but still quiet and tranquil inside. The lobby has the most fantastic aroma and the check in staff were welcoming and helpful. My room was on the 5th floor with sloped ceilings and exposed beams - beautiful. The bed was huge with the silkiest cotton sheets and the bathroom had a wonderful array of toileteries. However the thing that impressed me most was the towels - gorgeous BIG white fluffy towels, not like the usual stamp sized towels you usually get in hotels.

Other great things about this hotel are the fact that WiFi is free, and the breakfast buffet, although served in an odd setting, was varied and delicious (no hot buffet though), with about 6 different types of milk to choose from (including soya), and a variety of juices.

I'll not be staying anywhere else in Madrid again.

This is a super hotel - modern, friendly, great location and well equipped - we had a junior suite which was a "loft" style room - upstairs bed ( very comfortable) and downstairs sitting room and bathroom. Easy to come and go to walk around the city and return during the day - plenty of good local eating places. Only slight criticism would be the open stairs from the bedroom to the ground floor - a bit dangerous to tackle in the middle of the night when a trip to the bathroom is called for and you are trying to go quietly, in the dark and not wake your partner!! Maybe not such a good idea for the elderly!

Restaurant that is part of the hotel - but can be easily approached from the adjacent street and square - more of a tapas bar - the spit roasted chicken and the asparagus are both "to die for" - we kept returning every day for lunch, thinking we would try something different and then just having the same again!

Staff are friendly and very helpful - ambiance is good - breakfast a bit expensive but for a city centre hotel still good VFM. Would stay again if we visited Madrid again - although for an enjoyable City break Madrid is not a patch on Barcelona...
