We went during the free period at 6:00 - 8:00 PM. There's quite a lineup outside but the line moves quickly. The brochure handed out has all the major works and locations making it easy to view your favourites first. Overall it has an impressive collection. In spite of the large crowd you have plenty of room to walk around.

Very good museum...just leave yourself plenty of time — 90 minutes minimum to take in a good portion of what is offered. Staff friendly and helpful

Go in the late afternoon to avoid the crowds. Use the museum guide to help you zoom in on the ones you would really like to see. Otherwise, use the list of masterpieces listed in the guide to help you focus on the great works.

If you want to go in for free, prepared to queue an hour early in the evening. The line was super long!

Wow...I have heard about this museum for years and finally had a chance to see it. I haven’t read the other reviews but I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with this museum. However, I would suggest going as early as possible. Like be there at the opening. The crowds get pretty large as the day goes on. Make sure your glasses are clean and your eyeballs are ready to be amazed. I wont go into the artists you will see. Every guide book does a good job at that but I will say, after seeing these paintings in art history books for most of my life, there is nothing that compares with seeing them in person. I can now say I truly understand why these artisans have such acclaim. This is a museum you don’t want to miss.
