To travel with a dog is not always easy. Especially in Southern European countries it can become an issue - but NOT at Villa Magna in Madrid. The hotel was recommended to us by friends who stayed at this beautifully modern, but not over designed hotel, earlier on ... and we were not disappointed. Just don't judge the hotel from the outside. The cold facade of this 70/80s building was immediately forgotten once we entered: a friendly welcome (for us), finding a special "bed" for the dog, perfect and attentive staff (who had patience with my small knowledge in Spanish and spoke quite well either English or German) and beeing centrally located - we had all we wanted for a city hotel 3 days before Christmas.
During summer time the room height might be a bit too low, but then there is a/c and most people wouldn't open the windows anyhow. Unfortunately we also had no time to use the pool and spa which is supposed to be great and we also didn't eat at the hotel: there is one of the best restaurants of Madrid just opposite the street "Astrid y Gaston". So if you look for an elegant, modern and centrally located hotel in Madrid where also your dog feels welcome, then try the Villa Magna.

This hotel is located in an excellent central spot in Madrid. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff are super friendly and go out of their way to accommodate. You really get a lot for the price.... compared to other cities/hotels, they are top notch! I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you happen to visit Madrid.

Id like to start saying this is one of the comfortablest hotels ive been in. the comfort/price is just great, super nice neat, classic with a modern touch rooms, bathrooms are just impeccable. The location of this hotel is one of the best locations you can get in a hotel in the world, is nearby most of all the interest places in town. The main restaurant gives u a meal of the best restaurants of the world in every dish you may order.
Minus point: As its on the middle of downtown of Madrid, dont expect to not have noise at all, but you will not bother, you will just wake up in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

I satyed at this hotel last april.

My staying was quite confortable. The location is really excellent, just a few stepd from "Museo Del Prado" and "Reina Sofia" and five minutes walking from the City Center.

It coukl be found find two subway stations around 2-5 minutes walking.

Hotle is really clean and the people in the front desk (I could say all the staff) are really really nice and will try to help and facilitate everything you need.

If you want to take a trip out of the Madrid (Segovia, Toledo, Valley of the Fallen, etc.) the tour lines pick you up at the hotel.

Around the hotel yopu cna find excellent restaurants and hotel's staff could do reservations.

I would really recommend this hotel to vacations or business trips.

Room Tip: Look for a room with view to the street.

Location is a bit distant to the city center but it depends if you care. Madrid has various quadrants and 5-10 Euro in a taxi will get you just about anywhere. I had a nice junior suite with good light and I liked the decor in the room and in the lobby. The bathroom was good and the Asprey toiletries were appreciated. The Business Center is staffed until after midnight although I found the PC's a bit too slow for what they should have been. The gym is OK; the spa treatment fine (the spa itself was undergoing renovation). Breakfast was pretty good and dinner in the lobby was rather good. Last time in Madrid I had stayed in the Westin near the Prado but I didn't like it; felt cold. The NH Nacional near the Prado is a good budget choice. This hotel is warmer and there is the feeling that there is lots of staff around and that they notice you. All of the 5-star things you expect are delivered. They send up some nice foodies to your room every day. I would come again.
